Discuss Twin Peaks

In a diner booth Mr. C sternly reminds Ray that he doesn't "need" anything, he wants. They are talking about extracting information from Hastings' (Matthew Lillard) secretary because she knows what he knows. Now, if Bob had occupied Hastings to commit the murder of Ruth the secretary then wouldn't he know what Hastings knows and simply pass the information on to Mr. C? Besides, what the heck could Hastings know that is so important to Mr. C anyways?

William "Bill" Hastings is the principal at a high school in Buckhorn, South Dakota.

Hastings had been having an affair with the school's librarian, Ruth Davenport.[1] Bill was arrested by Detective Dave Macklay and was questioned about Ruth Davenport as well as his activities. His story lined up until there was a 45 to 50-minute gap that he could not account for, but eventually said he was taking his assistant, Betty, home after a meeting that had concluded. Hastings was then told that Ruth Davenport was found murdered, and Bill's fingerprints were found in the apartment. He was then escorted to a jail cell.[2] While Bill waited nervously in his cell for his lawyer, George Bautzer, his wife came to see him, who said that he could not be released on bail, according to George. Bill insisted that while he was never in Ruth's apartment, he dreamt that he was there. Phyllis then stated that she knew he was having an affair with Ruth, and Bill countered with the knowledge that she was having an affair with George and possibly someone else. After she taunted him with "life in prison," Detective Macklay came to dismiss her.[1]

Trivia Edit

this information would make him share his birthdate with Dale Cooper, according to the latter's fingerprint card

Definitely sounds like COOP/BOB took possession of HASTINGS the same way as BOB did LELAND.

Oh, no question. Then we see Mr. C murder PHYLLIS with what he says is George's gun. He just took out that whole fk circle in one fell swoop. grin But what did Hastings know and why doesn't Mr. C know if Bob possessed him? AHHHH! I'm suffering TP over load syndrome! My circuits are smoking! fire

As LELAND lay dying in COOP's arms he also didn't seem to KNOW or be aware of what he'd done until he's about to die.

So perhaps when BOB takes control of one's body they're also left with no memory of it as long as their still ALIVE???

Or maybe even though he takes over the body he doesn't share his thoughts. So therefore Bob has no idea what Hastings knows? I don't know. Pretty confusing.

I think Evil Coop said " She knows what she knows."

And the secretary has some kind of COORIDNATES to something?

Yes.

Perhaps to the location of the LODGE.

I believe this may be true.

BTW - Lancelot Court is the name of the area where Dougie and family lives (didn't think that warranted a new thread)

I know the feeling, I have felt like my head was going to explode.
