Yeah, me too. "I was wrong, Harriet! There is another child exactly like Nellie!" Well, not exactly... Nancy did turn out to be worse.

Nancy was a bit psychotic. I mean locking someone in the ice house is a bit murderous don't you think? Nellie was mean, bratty and snottie but I never got the feeling that she would actually try to harm someone.

Nellie did mellow after she got married. Hopefully, Nancy will too. Perhaps it's just the mother Harriet who is at fault for spoiling them so much.

I think she can take credit for Nellie, but not so much for Nancy. Did you see how she acted the day Harriet met her? 😆

True, Nellie was her birth child, Harriet spoiled her , Nancy was already 9 or 10. when the Olesons adopted her. It is too bad, Nancy's birth grandma was never casted. She could explain her messed up behavior.
