Not a good start.
What I liked: The new workroom. The diversity of the contestants. The new female judge.
What is I didn't like:
Bland host. Bland mentor. The male judge, trying way too hard to be funny.
The fashion: A good, not great runway. I think I'd have gone with the other top look for the win.
Now to the worst of the worst: O M G they didn't send that blue bodysuit home. I get the feeling that it was because she is nice and nobody likes the WASP princess. Another decision like that and I may not continue.

Korto can't take criticism well - and I'm glad that she's gone. However, I didn't think her outfit should have been in the bottom. It did meet the challenge. I thought Rami or Brit should have been in the bottom purely for the fact that they didn't meet the challenge. I am getting so tired of Brit saying it's her esthetic. What does that have to do with the challenge? She has done this twice and gets to skate.

Re: Korto
In one way, I don't blame her for speaking her mind. It was just the delivery.
In some instances, she was right.
Those stupid judges do give mixed messages.
How can they praise Brittany, when she didn't give ANY modesty in her design? She totally didn't complete the challenge.
Rami didn't do oversize.
That's why Korto gave that speech in the end: "I did exactly what they asked us to do." And she was right. Rami and Brittany didn't abide by the challenge.
But in the end, I think the judges sent Korto home because she's so exhausting. They didn't like being told the truth and they wanted her out.

I loved Korto’s look and would have had her trip two with Laurence. I agree with you about Rami and Brit although Brit’s look was really well executed. Rami’s wasn’t. I think he should have gone home although Bishme could also have gone.

We also like Korto's look. It was one of the few that really met the challenge. We didn't agree at all that the brocade was dated. The combination of the great slacks, which suggested a gown's skirt, and the bomber jacket really said formal and casual to us.
We liked Rami's look. It did have to stretch the use of oversize, but we though it worked.
We loved Prajje's look. We understood the judge's comment about it not being edgy, but that is such an indefinite word we didn't blame him for his interpretation. We really liked the origami concept and we might steal the technique for one of our costumes.
We disliked Bishme's look. We didn't like any of it.
Brittany's look was beautiful and stunning and completely missed the challenge. There was absolutely nothing modest about that gown. Having the "shape" of a modest gown doesn't make it modest. Being able to see large portions of the model's derriere does not say modest to us.

Maybe if she had covered the model’s ass with a better coverage bottom I could say it bordered on modest. But that would have been a lot like Kara Shaun’s look from earlier in the season. Bishme’s look could have worked without the tacky bling and a more voluminous hoody. I think Prajje’s was a little too ambitious for the time frame. If he could have done more of the origami it would have been stunning.

The guest judge seemed to really dislike Korto’s look so I suspect that was a factor. And for a modest clothing branded designer, she really liked Brit’s 🤷♀️

I completely agree, but someone really needs to call out Brit. She has stolen the look from Praje and Kara Shaun. Obviously, the judges are playing favorites.

I agree with this statement as well, and I was shocked to see it at the bottom.

I thought Korto’s look was fresh and young. I would actually have have given her the win here because hers fit the challenge the best.

I wonder why they would have such a challenge if the judges weren't going to abide by the rules. I guess they were hoping Brit was going to pull a different card.

Wow, that was a close one for my girl, Laurence. She really did a half-a@@ job with that design. I feel as if the final three will be Laurence, Bishme, and Rami.

So glad that Nina mentioned that Brit robs looks. It ticked me off that Elaine said it was just a reference.
I knew I saw that design somewhere, and it was on Harry Styles. Personally, I hate that look, because it looks too immature for a man to wear. If a woman was wearing that outfit, they would have said immature.

Does anyone know of Praje's story? He's gay and has a daughter in Haiti. Yet, I heard he was in the US, since he was 13. I am assuming he made a trip back to Haiti, but I am trying to figure this all out.

Men's challenges always worry me. In the past they have almost always resulted in terrible looks. A lot of that is because the designers often go with suit looks which often are very difficult to accomplish properly in two days or less. Having made suits myself, they are very time consuming and if not done properly make the model look awful.
Generally, I was happy with this challenge. I actually thoght Brittany's was pretty good, and as you know, I haven't liked Brittany much. It was referential, but I don't have a problem with that. I suppose you could say it was immature, but a lot of men's looks from the past are given that label by a lot of modern folks.
We liked Rami's look a lot, though I wouldn't have done it in creme. We know he was connecting it to weddings. A different color, I think, would have more boldly showed the spiral construction. It did have a fitting issue or two, but overall largely original. (I say that because I've seen spiral men's wear done, but on the costume stage at cons and not by a recognized designer.)
Prajje's design leaves me in a bit of a quandary. We liked it. It was a form of a suit and we thought he got the tailoring done well for such a short time frame. The color was, perhaps, a bit too bold, but men's ware often suffers from overly muted color. What confused us was the Veve patterns. Prajje went to great lengths to explain them during initial design and again when Christian was doing his walk-through. But nary a word to the judges. I suppose it could have been lost in the editing, but after the emphasis earlier, that seems unlikely.
Laurence's. We liked the look. But it wasn't red carpet. It needed more. A shirt might have helped, though we agree that the one she did make would not work and she was right to eliminate it. Unfortunately, that left it feeling unfinished. We didn't have a problem with the exposed skin, but it needed something.
We liked the lines of Bishme's look. It was suit-like, but the closure was interesting and the trailing scarf of the hat was nice. We wouldn't have wrapped it around the model's face.
We probably would have let Laurence go based solely on this challenge, but I think she has been better than Prajje (and we like Prajje) overall. Its hard to tell if they made their decision based solely on this look or not.

I think if she had a model w/o tattoos and darker skin (a Black model) it would have been a better look. With that sad, Laurence's design was uninspired.
