Not a good start.
What I liked: The new workroom. The diversity of the contestants. The new female judge.
What is I didn't like:
Bland host. Bland mentor. The male judge, trying way too hard to be funny.
The fashion: A good, not great runway. I think I'd have gone with the other top look for the win.
Now to the worst of the worst: O M G they didn't send that blue bodysuit home. I get the feeling that it was because she is nice and nobody likes the WASP princess. Another decision like that and I may not continue.

I'm sorry I did not like the Jean's outfit -- at all!

In the Kushner comment, it seems as if Nina was stifling a laugh, and oddly, it appears as if Karly was starting to laugh. That is until she figured it out that it was a dig.
Here is the video:

I totally agree about the challenge. One of my favs ever. Didn't you just know lab coat guy was going to hate it?

Not something I would ever wear but I thought it was a creative use of the old jeans.

It was the best episode of the Bravo reboot. I had no idea about the Kushner connection. Wonder if they have a prenush? 🤣🤣🤣

Oh, you didn't know that Karly was married to a Kushner? Well, it took her six years to fall into their "good graces" and that's after she married their beloved son.

After she pulled an Ivanka and converted, probably.

I'm warming up to Christian, by the way.

Yeah, at first, he was like "You aren't going to be picking that fabric, are you?" "Do this -- not that." Now, he has taken a step back and leaves his comments only for the workroom oppose to Mood.

Sorry to be late to comment; computer was in for regular maintenance.
I'm afraid I've never been overly fond of the design for the host challenges. Heidi usually had one each season as well. I see the point, and even agree with it, but I think we get the least creative designs from it. The upcycle part of the theme, however, was a great idea.
That said, we agreed with the top looks. We preferred Nancy's look, but not so much that we dislike the winner. Both looks were great and either was a winner.
As for the bottom looks, they were all disasters. Personally, we thought Marquise's was the worst look. It was ill-conceived and ill-made. Tyler's was merely ordinary.
The controversy over his shade is interesting. Throwing that out was completely out of line regardless of which part of the political spectrum one prefers. Should it affect the judging? Ideally no. The looks should be the only item up for discussion. We have been judges for events. It is hard judging a person you don't like or a genre you don't like. Part of being a judge is the ability to look past those biases.
The judge's were in a terrible position. If they let Tyler's comments influence their decision to eliminate him, and his design is not the worst, then it is unfair to him to lose. However, if they resist the urge to eliminate and choose someone else solely to avoid the appearance of bias, then that is not fair to the other bottom designers.
Since we can't read the minds of the judges, we will never really know. We choose to give them the benefit of the doubt. (And Tyler has been consistently in the bottom, so we're sure he would be gone in another week anyway.)
Overall a decent episode. Sorry Poetist and Jonnieblack, we can't say its our favorite; but everyone's taste varies.

Who is Nancy or better yet what did she design?
I think they should have held off eliminating him if only solely to keep up appearance. Of course, they can always fall back on that he was in the bottom twice before, so. . .
By the way, I didn't understand the part in italics.
I just think the challenge was great and exciting -- more so than the garments that were a product of it.

I agree, the challenge idea was great. I think many did not pick the best pieces to work with.
