I prefer to think of it as "emotionally guarded." But I am definitely guilty of being a "head in the clouds" Aquarius.

I guess I'm thinking more of the Libras, Sagittariuses, Geminis I know. It's like pulling teeth with them all the time (esp the former two)...hard to explain but I'm getting tired of it. Haha. But maybe it's not the same with an Aquarius. ;P I haven't really known one of those personally!

(and to be fair, I have a Cancer parent who is honestly an emotion-demanding mess, so, I have this fear of being like them and thus some secret self-Cancer-loathing haha :P I wish I was more aloof!)

I can't freeze people out --- well not instantly. I can ignore for a moment, stew over it, and growl. I don't argue, but there are some people whose thought process stuns me.

Case in point, a relative wanted to borrow a lot of money from me, but the relative didn't want me to tell anyone. The relative was closed lip about a lot of things, which is their prerogative.

My thing is you can't be closed lip when you want my money. You have to tell me everything I need to know. When I started talking to others, that person questioned me.

I took offense to that. You want me to be quiet about offering up my OWN money?!

Totally understandable reaction with money.

When I talk about freeze out, I am thinking of someone I thought was a friend but after a long time realized was a frenemy. She got freezed out. Also bad breakups. The ex you realize was never honest with you. Us Aquarians may seem closed off but we are being very protective of our deepest feelings. It makes us feel vulnerable which we don't like.

Did I actually hear Margarita throw out that there are 70 million Latinos wanting to see a Latina like herself make it to Fashion week. Talk about a ploy to land a slot.

Haha my bad johnnieblack, with Sagittarius. I kinda lump the fire and air ones together. I mean, fire doesn't go too well with water either, now does it? I'm cool with earth though. As far as what we do when people irritate us or not. Depending on the person (if it's one that I like) I tend to keep hanging on with my crabby claw and take the abuse and fester until they shake me off and then I just retreat into a sandy hole and dig it deeper and farther away from people, secretly angry and sad and getting farther each time from ever wanting to come out. As for strangers, I keep my shell up and pincers out with almost all of them anyway, darting off to the nearest exit when I can. I sound so charming, don't I! (sarcasm)

What annoyed me with Margarita with the judging critique is that when they were pointing out how gaudy it was, she was all "Well you TOLD me to bring it!" Yes, yes, we get it, it's always someone else's fault! Lol! I think they meant bring it as in "Wow" us, it doesn't mean "giant glittery fish and Mama Mia bellbottoms." But, anyway, she go to NY Fashion week so fine. And I guess if that IS her aesthetic, then it's good she "brought it" so we can be aware what she's about lol...but just her usual defensive lash-back is what made me cringe.
