Scorpion, I agree. She always has an excuse...one or two times would have made sense, I guess. But episode after episode, it's like come on. They all have obstacles and bumps along the way, each challenge, that they get over. You know, I'll grant them all at least one bad or off week, but not EVERY time. And I still don't like how she threw that model under the bus with the challenge when the models were the clients... She gave the model this street, hip-hop 90s type look. They both were all so exciiittted and totally on the same page, but as soon as the judges didn't like it, Margarita was all "Alas, I shouldn't have put the client's wishes above my vision. That was my downfall, trying to make her happy..." WTF?! I didn't like her ever since that. And she never really redeemed herself...

I had forgotten about that issue with the model. One of the many looks that could/ should have sent her home.

Well I think the right ones made it to Fashion Week. I was worried they were going to axe Kentaro there for a moment. From his "I'm not really ready" comment, I felt like he was just trying to be humble, because they had just told him he had stuff to fix, so obviously he wasn't ready right then and there. I'm glad they didn't get hung up on his semantics.

And ok, even though I find Margarita kind of aggravating...I don't really understand the whole "This is New York, not Miami" stuff. First of all, sort of an insult...her looks inspired by where SHE is from, Puerto Rico, so why are they just lumping that into Miami haha? As if that's the only tropical beach-y place. But secondly, does showing in New York mean your clothes have to be FOR New York people? I was always under the impression that Paris, NY, Milan...those are just fancy, high class places to have the fashion shows, not that you have to design for people in those cities. I mean, some designers do have a "thing"....and if Margarita's thing is tropical parrots, why can't that go in NY? The city is just the stage to showcase what you do...right? I didn't feel those critiques were fair. So someone who wants to do beach-y tropical inspired looks can only show on a runway in a tropical place? Come on. I can see making a critique warning her they better be high fashion or something along those lines...but still, if her aesthetic IS tropical, then that's just what it is.

I agree- with the exception of Margarita. Tim told Kenya to "young" that dress up with the beaded cover up and it still failed, Kenya was not ready either...but still I would rather see her collections over Margarita's explosions .

I totally agree! Yes, I think he was just hurt and it was so obvious what he meant. I truly believe that if Brandon had made that white outfit and put strings on that puffy part - the judges (especially Heidi) would have just loved it. I think Kentaro's whole piano inspired collection is beautiful- though not to my own personal liking/tastes. can't believe the judges were into that flamingo pattern of Brandon's-it looked like material Margarita would have chosen. I loved Ayana's 2 looks and glad she stuck with those instead of those Quaker Oats looking dresses.

Kentaro: "I found a dead cat on the street, so after I bury the cat , I put my ear to the ground and this is the kind of sound I heard...yeah."

Tim: "Alright...wonderful..."

Yeah I liked the dead cat thing. I have a feeling they edited it to make Tim's reaction seem really delayed lol....maybe...but I still thought Kentaro's inspiration was interesting? Bizarre, but cool and creative. And kind of funny. But he has this poetic way of viewing the world. I liked his collection too.

And Brandon, I don't like that flamingo print at all. In general I like contrast in colors, so his literally 1-note fabric used throughout is a disappointment. I kinda have liked other looks of his during the season, but the runway collection is probably my least favorite of what he's done!

The animal lover in me went blank when he said dead cat. I'm glad he buried it and wrote a song about it. I like Kentaro more for it.

Brandon's color pallet is the worst of all the designers. In fact, I like Margarita's better than his. I'm wondering what did he do with his money for fabric.

Just finished the episode. Initial reactions:

Pink Flamingos. A movie in which an obese transvestite literally eats shit. And a collection on project runway. I actually liked Brandon's print, but WAY too much of it. The cloths were all carbon copies of things he has already made. Totally winning.

Little Bo Peep/Little House on the Prairie mash up with boring color palette: self explanatory.

Miami Sound Machine: At least this one had some life. Totally over the top with some construction issues, but at least some fun.

Dead Cat Sonata: What? Some interesting looks, especially the peach pleated dress, but what story is he telling? He does not know.

Real Grandmas of Atlanta: I can't believe how much praise received for fabrics and looking expensive. Sooo matronly, every look except the crop top outfit, but still with those awful colors.

I DO NOT care who wins at this point.

I totally agree. I was one who did like Brandon's strings/streamers designs throughout the competition , but I did not care for his runway print and design collection.
