Item: Urusei Yatsura
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: This show was 2 seasons of 23 episodes each, for some reason these two seasons have been mashed together into one mega season on this website. This is categorically untrue and this 46 episode “season” should be split up to match the actual seasons

As per our rules, when the episodes are numbered consecutively, they should be listed in one single season.

Looking at the Anime specific bible for TV shows I found a rule that seems to corroborate what you are saying
“ Long-running series with continuous episode numbers (e.g. 867, 868, 869) are added as a single season.”
However this rule only applies to long running series’s, for example the old Urusei Yatsura anime this is remaking is counted as one season even though there were multiple seasons, this makes sense since it was 195 episodes and numbered itself with disregard to the seasons. However this show is 46 episodes and aired in two bursts (seasons) with around a year between these seasons, it is neither long nor long running it is simply two different seasons

On the next paragraph, you can read : "Sequels series (i.e. a direct continuation of the story) are added within the same entry. When the episodes numbers are continuous, all episodes are added to the same season. When the episode count is restarted (i.e. the first episode is Episode 1), the new episodes are added as a new season."

Oh, my bad. I assumed it had to do with sequel series with different names instead of new seasons of shows. Thanks for clarifying, I was definitely wrong
