Gemma turns about to be a girl from Fantasia that works for Xayide, she transfers to bastians school in order to steal the book from Bastian which she does. In Fantasia, Moonchild gives Atreyu back the aurin and Curiosity/Mr. Coreander and Fly Girl prepare Atreyu to go into the real world to protect Bastian from Gmork who got turned back into a wolf.

Atreyu se prépare alors pour une mission spéciale dans le monde des humains. Broussaile l'emmène jusqu'à la Bibliothèque du Sorcier, où la Curiosité complète sa formation pour ensuite lui révéler la vraie nature de la tâche à accomplir. Cependant, Atreyu arrive trop tard et il ne réussit pas à empêcher Gemma de s'emparer de "L'Histoire sans fin" et de la retourner à Fantasia.
