Instead of waiting for "different order" feature, could we have another TV show with Blu-ray/intended order, like "Firefly (intended order)?" This should at least work-around the incorrect order for most people.
Thank you for the hints. Episode groups are very helpful for the web users. Yet I believe TheMovieDB is very helpful and useful for people more than web interface. Most media players, e.g. Kodi and more, uses TheMovieDB API to access these resource. I believe that serves a lot of audiences, if not more than web users. These players cannot access to episode groups. While I understand it's other players responsibility to meet what TheMovieDB provides, it would be wonderful to have a simple and easy to access API for others to access.
To create another TV show entry is the easiest way to fulfill both worlds before TheMovieDB supports different episodes order, IMHO.

That's never going to happen. Not only are duplicate entries a huge inconvenience for us and API users but, as you can see, we support alternative episode orders -- both on the website and via the API. If you're unhappy with Kodi's lack of support for alternative orders, maybe contact them?

I don't use the API. So I really can't help you with that.
Kodi does have support for episode groups but I think it's a hidden feature at the moment. Your best bet is to contact them and ask about support. Episode groups are not a website only feature and exist on the API for clients like Kodi to use.

We'll support different order in the future, but we currently only support the aired order!
