Item: Attack on Titan: Specials - The Final Chapters Special (1)
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: Incorrect classification of the Final 2 episodes of Attack on Titan.
The only reason that the final two episodes of Attack on Titan are listed as “Specials” is because the word “Special” appears in their broadcast titles. In reality, the term “Specials” is a TMDb construct used for bonus content, which these episodes are not. They are the direct continuation and conclusion of The Final Season, making them integral to the structure of the season, not bonus content.
Perhaps more importantly, this is inaccurate to every official classification and production of these episodes. MAPPA’s official channels, as well as other databases and streaming platforms (including Disney+, Hulu, Crunchyroll, Prime Video, IMDB, Wikipedia, JustWatch, and Apple TV), list these episodes as a part of Season 4.
To maintain validity for this entry as well as for TMDB, these two episodes must be made a part of The Final Season and not listed as Specials.

Thanks for linking to the previous content report, it was helpful.
The premise in the report for these episodes being listed as specials and not as a part of the Final Season stems from the fact the episodes are not numbered on the official website. The entire discussion has been founded upon this logic becoming a Foundational Fallacy. I will not argue with the logic itself, as that proves pointless, but must show that the implementation of the “numbered episodes/ official website” rule is hugely misconstrued from its intent in this scenario.
The Contribution Bible only ever refers to the official website as a source and never as an authoritative rule. The Bible even says that “Some official websites are unfortunately unreliable” proving they are not intended to be definitive and are only meant as a reference. It even goes on to specify that not in all cases does the “original airing order (how it was first released) correspond to the order used by the official Japanese website,” only most cases.
The gold standard is this: “Our goal is to replicate how the TV series were originally released on their original network. The episodes of anime series should be in the exact order in which they were originally released in Japan.” This statement is the main goal with absolute authority in the Bible, whereas the official site rule is only ever defined as a strong guideline. The Bible even states, “The original network's current website may be different from the original data for various reasons," meaning that even if the current site omits numbers, the airing order and continuity override that. Following the true authoritative rule, the final two episodes aired on NHK in Japan as direct continuations of The Final Season, with full-length slots and no rerun or recap labels. By all TMDb Contribution Bible standards, which prioritize airing order and original Japanese broadcast above all, these episodes must be listed in Season 4.
This may very well be the largest active misuse and misinterpretation of the Contribution Bible on TMDB.

This part simply means that we need to look at the archive of the website as it was at the time of the broadcast. This wasn't even necessary here because the original report has been written at the time of the broadcast.
Note that if you want to discuss, you should do it in the original report.

Good to know.
I feel that my logic about the Contribution Bible is sound and want to ask if the discussion is futile or can literal change come from it?

The probabilities of a change here are near 0.
