As Labor Day is behind us, we will wave bye-bye to summer with a thread about the beach.
Penny: I am the one who spent two years trying to get him to even go to the beach in the first place. And he was so phobic about stepping on medical waste, I had to carry him to the water.
Bernadette: (sarcastic) I took Howard to the beach once. He almost burst into flames like a vampire.

Nope. I'm a tree-hugger not a sea-hugger. Plus, Can’t really do
. Would have to cover-up more at the beach than I would out shoveling snow. (FORGOT: Also, don't enjoy being any place where people who should be wearing a 
...let-it-all-hang-out instead. My vision generally blurs for about a week whenever I see such a sight.)
My vacation is more about “getting of that hamster wheel”. I could vacation under a bridge at a homeless encampment, if I could be 100% sure a “deadline” wouldn’t find me.
ON ANOTHER NOTE: Summer is not going out without a fight. Temp mid-90's/heat index of 100.

That's a good point. Going on a vacation isn't just about where you go, it's what you get to leave behind for a few days.
And yes, it's extremely hot where I am, too.

Every time I go to the beach I think to myself it's the only place where people basically walk around in the equivalent of their underwear, in an amount of clothing they probably wouldn't be caught dead in anywhere else.

The thing I miss most about summer is the length of the days. Sunshine makes this lemon happy.
On another note, I wonder if Sheldon ever wore white after Labor Day. He was a stickler for the rules!
