Pity that the producers went through the trouble of inviting Summer Glau on for a guest starring role, but then didn't include a scene where she requires Penny's services, in preparation for her upcoming Playboy shoot. Thus giving her cause to say those words quoted above

Maybe they decided to "hedge their bet", considering that disparaging missives, similar to the one below, had been launched toward the show from the first:
