Leslie Winkle and the Noodles

When Leonard visited Leslie Winkle in her lab and she was getting ready to use a super-laser to heat her Cup-O-Noodles, did anyone think the laser would actually heat the noodles/water, and not just poke a hole through the cup and water goes everywhere?

Generally in any scene with Leslie Winkle I was just thinking "How quickly will this scene be over?".
