Dawn Elberta Wells (October 18, 1938 - December 30, 2020)
Her publicist announced that Dawn Wells, who played Mary Ann Summers on "Gilligan’s Island", died December 30, due to complications from COVID-19. She was 82.
She was someone your grandparents watched, your parents watched, you watched, and your kids watched. And, thanks to the networks showing “vintage” series (and other sources, of course) her legion of fans from 9ish-to-90ish can continue to enjoy watching her for years and years to come.

Where have you been?
Wells helped design those iconic shorts. The material was deliberately thin, and lined, so that she didn’t have to wear anything underneath them that could have ruined THE LOOK.
