Thank God somebody mentioned this. It points to the true nature of Christmas as a Nordic/pagan collection of celebrations that got mish mashed together and repurposed as a religious holiday. People should know the true originals of every holiday they celebrate.
That being said, My Irish -English self will be drinking copious amounts of spiked nogg anyway.
