I happened to watch season 1, episode 6 again. The first time they were shown having played paintball. And they've got paint all over. But doesn't one hit put you out of the game? So why would they have paint all over, just to make a point? And there would be no point in Howard "Fragging" Sheldon once Sheldon has already been hit. Or, if Sheldon has already been hit - and out of the game - no "fragging" is needed. So, basically.... wtf?

Definitely an oversight by the writers if those are indeed the rules of paintball. I never got the chance to try that although I always wanted to. I feel like a one hit kill rule in paintball would be too easy to eliminate players

I suppose you could say that being hit in the arm or leg isn't necessarily fatal. But those guys had paint all over their bodies, their chests...

Yeah if paintball games are meant to mirror a real gunfight , they’re all long dead.

Shotgun pellets or automatic weapon simulation? We know the overkill was just to prove a story point.
