Hi bratface and FKA! Here's Round 2!
(That was a joke since we seem to be the only ones creating and/or answering threads on here lately. Maybe someone will shock us and decide to respond as well.)
Just kidding.
Anyhow, here are the newest Christmas queries!

1) Disgusting (when I was first married I made some for Christmas gifts along with homemade sand candles)
2) Nope
3) Pretty young, maybe 6 or 7. Got in trouble because I told a bunch of the neighbor kids! Although as an adult I do believe in Santa!

When I first read your answer to #1 I thought it said sand castles. I was trying to picture how you made and gave sand castles to people. πππ
But sand candles are impressive, too. I have to ask though, if you think fruitcake is disgusting why did you give it as a Christmas gift?

Honestly? I have no idea. They were presents for my husband's family (I wasn't their favorite in-law).

1) Fruitcake: As far as I know, I'm the only person on the planet who absolutely loves it. No one else I know will come anywhere near one. During the holiday season, will eat at least one...entirely by myself.
2) Never! Always knew that "coal in your stocking" thing was an idle threat. Even so, in our younger days we did sort of clean up our act going into the holidays.
3) Truth about Santa? What truth would that be? Santa and I are LikeThat!

1.Although I don't really have any interest in fruitcake, my grandmother made the most delicious fruitcake cookies and I miss those.

Is it only fruitcake from the USA that is hated?
In countries like for example the UK (Christmas cake), Germany (stollen) and Italy (panettone), fruitcake is given and eaten during the holidays.
Many Americans who have eaten these versions, agree that they taste better, moister. Still they will only eat it as a last resort, because they don't like the fruity bits, raisins, sultanas, currants, cooked, dried or candied fruit, that - according to them - are never particularly delicious. They would love to eat this type of cake if the fruit was replaced with chocolate chips.
So, perhaps a chocolate fruitless cake?

I don't like fruitcake because it usually has nuts. I'm not a fan of nuts in things except for chunky peanut butter. I'm not a huge fan of nuts in general, I like peanuts & walnuts (walnuts on their own). I like raisins, & some dried fruit but not all.
