I don't know anything about that show yet so I'll have to read more about the plot and listen to the buzz. Right now I don't think I'm going to watch it but that could change. You know me and my policy of only liking to watch people in one specific show. If I watch that I'll be wondering why Penny is a flight attendant and not home with Leonard!

Well then, you might be unhappy with Charmed (the original), but you should still see it anyway. And it might be easier to bear since Penny is only in the last season, and that was before she met Leonard...

I received an email notification that Wonder had posted to this thread, but... nothing.

At any rate, I watched the trailer. Kaley is a very attractive woman, but there's just something about her... physicality... that doesn't seem right for that kind of drama/suspense story. And it's the same reason why she was so right for TBBT.

1• When in S0501 "The Skank Reflex Analysis" Penny tells the guys that she is leaving for Nebraska, there is no phone call from her agent with news that she got a part in a hemorrhoid cream commercial. So she doesn't change her mind. On the plane she falls in love with the pilot and decides to become a flight attendant.

2• In S07E12 "The Hesitation Ramification" Penny's part in the "NCIS" episode is not cut. This is her big break and she gets more acting roles. She is often away filming and Leonard doesn't see her that much anymore. He wants to fight for their love, but ultimately decides that "if you truly love someone let them free; if they come back to you it was meant to be". Two years later she meets a billionaire's son; they get engaged a year later and she becomes a June bride the next year. In the meantime she has started her own production company Yes, Norman Productions and produces and stars in the miniseries "The Flight Attendant (2020)".

Yeah.

One of the reasons I’m hesitating is that I'mif I will be able to see-pass-Penny. Unlike newbies who get to go in with a clean slate, long time fans of a ‘signature role’ can find it difficult (impossible in some cases) to make the transition when seeing a favorite as a character in something other than….

Since, due to Covid-19, stores are not running "Black Friday" sales (which start Thursday, Thanksgiving Day p.m.); %70-off-sales is one less thing she'll have to worry about competing against for an audience .
