Discuss The Big Bang Theory

I say Amy. She is level-headed, smart and compassionate. And mentally stable.

I say Howard. This way we’d have Bernie in the driver’s seat to make sure things go as they oughta.

Bernie's kind of scary though! 😁

Foreign policy often requires scary.

But overall Penny might be better. She can be nice and kind and sweet, but still give a kick in the balls when needed.

I had thought about Penny, but went with Amy because I think she's smarter. And I don't know if Penny would want to work that hard.

Penny works pretty hard in her sales position, we've heard about that. Plus a president has a large staff to help, Penny would like that too.

If Sheldon were president I wonder if he would have a Council of Ladies instead of a Cabinet.

Yeah.

Which is why I didn’t pick her for the seat at the head of that table.

A big part of the job is the effective use of diplomacy. Think Bernie would fall far short when it comes to that basic political principle. She doesn’t have it in her to do a “Carrot-Stick” workaround. She would be just “Stick”.

I can see Howard softening whatever Bernie's message would be. So I'll give you that.

I notice no one has said Leonard, and yet he's one of the most level-headed of the bunch.

Leonard is too good. He would try to please everyone. Plus, you gotta have someone with, at least, a little “larceny” in their heart.

I think you're right that he would try to please everyone. And it's not easy to be a leader when you don't want to risk upsetting anyone. I guess that's why I picked Amy. She's also a really good person but she has guts.

Leonard got some guts when he had that extra university money to pass around, and spent it on "himself." Maybe he kept improving from there.

Raj (if he were eligible). Not regular Raj. Not '30-Under-30' Raj. It would have to be “Planetarium Raj”.

Along with his other attributes, Planetarium Raj comes across as confident, knowledgeable, personable, humorous, and authoritative. Plus he is able to work a crowd. And, his choice of “stylish” attire over “nerd-wear" makes him even easier on the eyes...never a bad thing.

Raj has - at least sometimes - some style. But never much substance. Which also explains why women are taken in at first, then quickly lose interest when they find out what he's really like.

Knixon you're saying a lot of things that I agree with lately.

It is 2020.

Hey smart people come around to agreeing with me, eventually. grinning
