OT: Best Advice My Mother Ever Gave Me

Happy Mother’s Day.
Here are some quotes, (or exerts from quotes) people…from all over…have written regarding good advice they’ve gotten from their mother.

It's hard to put into words but 15 is (to me) a negative way of looking at something. 18 is like the saying 'everything happens for a reason'! I hate that saying! Sorry, I can't be clearer.

That's clear enough.
As for "everything happens for a reason"—not a fan of that saying either—get annoyed with people carrying on as if something otherworldly has taken place.

I haven't seen the movies for quite a while, but I'm unaware of any definitive evidence that Yoda was male, even assuming that species has genders at all.
