Considering the gravity of the Coronavirus pandemic, and the havoc it has wreaked around the globe, do you think the team(s) that develops a treatment for it likely will receive, at least, a Nobel Prize nomination...if not the Prize itself?

Never occurred to me to read the comments. Saw the clip on a news broadcast, found it on YouTube, clipped it, attached it. When I told a friend about it, their only comment was...too bad it didn't have Alec Baldwin as YouKnowWho.
No plans to revisit the clip.

Think the repercussion from this puppy will be rumbling throughout the world for decades to come. The finger pointing alone will probably take at least that long.
As for public recognition for scientists, they and their ilk have become the new superheroes.

Nobel Prizes are awarded in October. Thanks to this show some folks are paying a lot more attention than before.
2020 Nobel Prize Winners: (NYTimes, Oct. 9, 2020)
Physiology or Medicine: Drs. Harvey J. Alter, Michael Houghton and Charles M. Rice
Physics: Roger Penrose, Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez
Chemistry: Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer A. Doudna
Literature: Louise Glück
Peace Prize: World Food Programme (WFP)
The Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences will be awarded Monday, 10/12/20.
Prior to this show I had a peripheral interest…now I have particular interest. Think Bernie and Amy would be especially proud of the history-making turn of the Chemistry winners.
Anyway...
Congrats to all. Maybe we’ll see them on TBBT Reunion Show?

I just read about Nobel winners in the paper, the story said that one award - I don't remember which one - was shared among three people, like might have happened in TBBT before the fraudsters dropped out. They wanted to split the award between the two of them and Sheldon, because a Nobel could only be shared by 3 people at most. But the story I read was that one person "won" half, the other two split the other half. Is that how it "always" goes in a situation like that, or was that a specific occasion for some reason?
