I have played chess. I even have a fancy hand-carved chess set that Mr. Lemons' uncle got in some foreign country. It is 3D in that it is not a flat line from Flatland, but not 3D in the way that Sheldon's was on the show.

I'm glad your OP did not ask if we have actually won a game of chess.

1.I actually don't remember if I've ever won a game of chess, but I know I've lost many!

2.I don't know what speed chess is, but it sounds like a faster way for me to lose.

Also I was in a store and they had a chess set that was all on one level but the squares raised in a stair step pattern so 3D in a way, like a carved escher drawing. I'd put a picture here if I knew how.

1) Haven't play in eons; so probably incredibly rusty now. But, back in the day could hold my own...so yes!
