Discuss The Big Bang Theory

Today is Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday. For those of us who live in Kentucky, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, California, Missouri, or New York it is also a holiday.

Lincoln was not just a great statesman, he was also an acute student of human nature. There are many great quotes attributed to him. My personal favorite:

“The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.”

fireworksHappy Holiday to all Celebrants!

By-The-By: I’ve paraphrased the “cats fight…but, plenty of kittens” quote many, many times over the years; on this site and others; just found out it is one of Lincoln’s witticisms. As least now I can write it right.

I have been to Ford's Theater where Lincoln was shot. In fact, if you happened to read my nightmarish story in the other thread about the Washington, DC Metro, when I finally made it above ground to the light of day, Ford's Theater was our first destination.
