Speculators...who got jokes...say: The Child is Yoda and Yaddle's.

Yes to question 1. Sheldon would almost certainly lose enthusiasm for a real BY, when he realized the damned thing requires feeding and diapering also

ACTUAL feeding and diapering, that is. Among other things. Unlike the Tamagotchi which he can keep alive for years just in his pocket.
