Discuss The Big Bang Theory

… you can't turn the station fast enough. And why (if you choose to share)?

I'll start with a couple:
1."Open Arms" by Journey (Was "our song" with an old boyfriend and now makes me want to barf.)
2.Anything by Bruce Springsteen. If I wanted to listen to someone who sounds like they're grunting on the toilet while constipated I'd watch an Ex-lax commercial.

Disclaimer and fine print: No offense meant to lovers of any of the above music.

Oh to have a vintage cassette mixtape made by Lemons or Censorship in their college days. What musical treasures might be therein.

Vintage. Now Z, you know you don't call a Lemon "vintage". Why I don't have one grey hair yet (if I go to the salon often enough). Do you know I've known you for over 4 years and don't have a clue as to your age? Well, I ain't that old yet. But to be nice, I'll mail you a mix tape when I have it done. I just have to crank up my phonograph first.

How about retro instead of vintage. At least I didn't say antique. Calling your tape vintage will only make the price go up for those trendy millennial whippersnappers, young-uns and what have yous. I am working on my own collection of sweet tunes that I will put on my vintage Microsoft Sheldon approved Zune and forward to you.

This brings to mind our old pal Gothy and her love for the sweet 80s sounds of Duran Duran.

Retro. Hmm. I guess that's a tad better. Perhaps "not of now but not that old"? Acronym NONBNTO? Now that's catchy. What were we talking about again? Ah yes, music. Not to expose that I'm not a whippersnapper, but I had to Google what a Zune was. I wondered if it was some music contraption that only people starting with Z used. I am looking forward to your forwarded Zune tunes. Make them songs from your high school years so I can figure out how old you are. (Why have I never asked you???) Or you can just email me how old you are and send any tunes you want. Or you can choose not to tell me and then I'll just have to wonder forever if I'm talking to a centenarian or perhaps a very mature teen.

As for Gothish- she was and still is the bomb. I miss her posting here but luckily still chat with our fine, classy board Goth-lette off-board. I'll tell her she was mentioned.

After watching that I'm starting to wonder if you actually have a Zune, and if you really intended to send me songs, or if this was all a hoax! Were you actually going to send me the MacNeil Lehrer report?

Gee Lemons could you wait a second until I finish tinkering with my post before you jump on. I was looking for another link to add to the Zune-mania. Here it is.

A trendy millennial (hm, is there any other kind?) might indeed pay a premium for a vintage mix tape. But then they won't have a clue what to do with it.

When "hipsters" were a thing in the 2000s they would go all out for things like that. Alas 2000s era hipsters are no more.

I hope this was an acceptable length of time between posts. I stood by a sundial to make sure I was waiting long enough. The thing is that I like to try to respond to you (if I can) while you are clearly actively on the board. That allows for a bit of real-time conversation. However, I'll try to be less quick on the draw going forward. I will have to say I'm a bit sad that the list of songs appears to be something made up, though. I was kind of looking forward to that.

On another note, when I use voice command to type Znex, it types "Xanax".

Were you expecting a Zune full of Tunes? Zune Tunes ? I will promise not to dilly dally when it comes to posting and rewriting as I go along. I took me some time to find both clips and try to post them onto one message. What kind of song list. Oh yes I remember from high school. However what if all the songs are from past decades to that as well as future decades because of the Tardis I made in my high school Tardis making class ? hourglass sunglasses

When I type Lemons it comes out Lemons.

I went back to see why I thought you'd be sending me songs and you said, "I am working on my own collection of sweet tunes that I will put on my vintage Microsoft Sheldon approved Zune and forward to you." Since I didn't know what a Zune was, I skipped over that word and fixated on the "forward to you" part. Since we were emailing around that time, I thought you were going to send me some links to songs you liked or something. You know that song, "If you don't know me by now..." notes Well, if you don't know I'm somewhat naïve by now, you ain't never, never gonna know me, Z.

When I type naïve I like how two dots appear over the "i". It's like a magic trick.

All right Lemons, you asked for it:

Don't take everything I write here as something I am actually going to do. How can I send you a Zune when I don't even know where to send it. Funny I first spelled Zune as Zen. Besides isn't this thread about songs I don't like ?

Like that old timey number: "How I swoon when Lemons plays her Zune" grinning

Well anyway Z... Yes, this is a thread about songs you'd turn off if they came on the radio. So you gonna tell us a song that fits into this category for you, or ya gonna keep talkin' 'bout you can't email me a Zune? (Hands planted on hips.)

Silly fella. You really need to slow down and read the original question more carefully. It didn't ask "Name a song that makes you sway back and forth dreamily thinking of Lemons". It asked you to name a song you'd quickly turn off the radio. How about this one, for example:

Well I like the lemon part of them! I'm more into songs with electric guitar, though. So are these songs that you would turn off if they came on the radio?

No I would love for songs like that to be on the radio. Mostly I avoid any station stuck in a loop of the same songs. None come specifically to mind right now. I don't mind tuning into a good dose of static now and then.

Static sounds like this Khhrrrrrrrrrrrr

That's also the sound that Miss Piggy would make if she started to say Kermit's name and then got interrupted.
