… you can't turn the station fast enough. And why (if you choose to share)?
I'll start with a couple:
1."Open Arms" by Journey (Was "our song" with an old boyfriend and now makes me want to barf.)
2.Anything by Bruce Springsteen. If I wanted to listen to someone who sounds like they're grunting on the toilet while constipated I'd watch an Ex-lax commercial.

Passenger - "Let Her Go"
I've heard that some music big-wig told that guy who wrote it, that he should sing it himself. Whoever that was, needs to be strung up by the short hairs.

I had to google it & agree, he sounds like a hobbit on helium. Jasmine Thompson's version is superior.

Hobbits on Helium would make a great name for a group. Or the next Noble winning theory. Super Hobbits on Helium Helix theory

Names with alliteration always do well. Speaking of alliteration I believe that this board is experiencing some "post-finale fizzle".

As Adam West's Batman and Annie would say "Leaping Lemons!"
I also remember a poster n the old board with a dislike for Springsteen who I loathe as well. Same with all those sappy Journey songs.

I don't know how to say "check your email" in alliteration, but please do. It's filled with files of sweet Springsteen music and jubilant Journey jingles. Just joshing. Go check it. (I really did send you something.)

I just did. Mind your messages ? Excavate your email ? No none of those work. How about Springsteen stinks. or Open arms is awful. Let go Lemons
RIP TMDB ??

Even before the finale, these threads were pretty dormant in the summer.

FREEZE FRAME and CENTERFOLD - both by a great band THE J. GIELS BAND.
The problem is they both were overplayed in the 1980's and continue to be overplayed to this day. If I NEVER hear either of them again, it will be too soon.
Honorable Mention to Sussudio by Phil Collins. Same reason as above. If I've heard these songs once, I've heard them 10,000 times.
Both artists have dozens of greater songs that rarely get airplay because of short sighted DJ's.

Yes, being overplayed is another reason I might change the station away from a song. I've done it to myself with many songs- listed to them way too many times and spoiled them. I've even been known to change the station for a (gasp!) Queen song because I played it to death in my college days.

Oh to have a vintage cassette mixtape made by Lemons or Censorship in their college days. What musical treasures might be therein.

Vintage. Now Z, you know you don't call a Lemon "vintage". Why I don't have one grey hair yet (if I go to the salon often enough). Do you know I've known you for over 4 years and don't have a clue as to your age? Well, I ain't that old yet. But to be nice, I'll mail you a mix tape when I have it done. I just have to crank up my phonograph first.

How about retro instead of vintage. At least I didn't say antique. Calling your tape vintage will only make the price go up for those trendy millennial whippersnappers, young-uns and what have yous. I am working on my own collection of sweet tunes that I will put on my vintage Microsoft Sheldon approved Zune and forward to you.
This brings to mind our old pal Gothy and her love for the sweet 80s sounds of Duran Duran.

Retro. Hmm. I guess that's a tad better. Perhaps "not of now but not that old"? Acronym NONBNTO? Now that's catchy. What were we talking about again? Ah yes, music. Not to expose that I'm not a whippersnapper, but I had to Google what a Zune was. I wondered if it was some music contraption that only people starting with Z used. I am looking forward to your forwarded Zune tunes. Make them songs from your high school years so I can figure out how old you are. (Why have I never asked you???) Or you can just email me how old you are and send any tunes you want. Or you can choose not to tell me and then I'll just have to wonder forever if I'm talking to a centenarian or perhaps a very mature teen.
As for Gothish- she was and still is the bomb. I miss her posting here but luckily still chat with our fine, classy board Goth-lette off-board. I'll tell her she was mentioned.

A trendy millennial (hm, is there any other kind?) might indeed pay a premium for a vintage mix tape. But then they won't have a clue what to do with it.
