Hey poptop! I seem to remember Sheldon having some disparaging words about Zachary Quinto. Is he some Star Trek guy? The first thing that I thought of when I saw his name was that Quinto rhymes with pinto, as in pinto bean. That tells you how much I know about Star Trek.
Ha! Yep, Jim and Zachary have a lot in common. Cool they're working together.
As a fan of the show, characters and the actors that played them, I will be interested in seeing what they move on to and hope good things happen. They brought many years of enjoyment into my life and will continue to do so. And Jim's Sheldon is a character I found fascinating. So Ill be curious to see what unfolds.
Offhand, I can't think of anything less interesting than whatever Jim Parsons does next. Or ever.
Good Lord Knixon! Sometimes I think the only reason you watched the show was because you thought Kaley had pretty boobies. They were all talented actors and I wish them all continued success.
There are lots of good actors in the world, I doubt that I see the great majority of what they do; and probably none at all of many or most of them, the ones that don't live or work in the US, for example...
Brian Donlevy has a lot of acting credits, but I've only seen him a couple times as Professor Quatermass. I have zero interest in seeing him in "Beau Geste" as Sergeant Markoff, for example. Similarly, I have zero interest in seeing Jim Parsons in anything else, just because it's Jim Parsons rather than because of what the show is/about. And I frankly doubt he'll be in anything else that I would want to see for other reasons.

What bothered me was not that you don't want to watch him in something else. No biggie. I just thought there was a bit too much of this in your tone. (Stop watching at 0:47- tubechop isn't working) (Having to tell you that is severely taking away from the punch that this post packs.)
Mostly it's just that whenever I've seen him anywhere else, he still always sounds and acts like Sheldon. That makes him a NOT-very-good actor, in my book. Many other actors that have a voice and mannerisms associated with particular roles - Shatner, for example - have shown they can do well in other roles. Not so with Sheldon.... errr, Jim.
Wow. A Brian Donlevy reference! Born in my hometown! As a fan of old-school sci-fi I've seen his Quartermass films. Worth watching once.
So many actors get type-cast. But I saw Alan Alda pull off some stuff after his MASH days that were solid.

The full size Spock cut-out Sheldon got was of Zachary as the new version of Spock...not of his idol Leonard Nimoy!!

Jim Parsons, unlike Sheldon, would love to have a life-size cardboard cut-out of Zachary Quinto as Spock.

Yet later, Leonard uses Zachary Quinto playing Spock as the go-to example of Sheldon having to admit that sometimes change can be OK after all.

Wasn't it Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk? I think Sheldon never liked Quinto as Spock.
