Now that TBBT is over, I figured we'd need some OT's to keep the board community going, in amongst our continued discussions of the show.

Is there a TV show that "everyone" loves/loved that you've never watched? If yes, which one(s) and why not?

I've never watched a single episode of Friends, Seinfeld or Game of Thrones. The first two I did not watch on purpose because I usually buck all that seems trendy, and the few snippets of Seinfeld I saw (like as I walked through the room while my husband was watching) just didn't seem funny to me. As for GoT, I don't have HBO. I do hope to watch it someday, though, because I do suspect I'd love it.

Lemons PLEASE watch Game of thrones. It’s a roller coaster ride that you NEED to experience . Αnd now that the series has ended you can binge it onHBO and cancel when you finish .

My husband and I will be empty nesting come August (that makes me sound old but I'm really not, I had my first child when I was 5) and Game of Thrones is definitely on my to do list!

What are poof bangs ? I would have expected 90s Lemons to have a "Rachel" (that is a Friends reference for you) Or whatever the Spice Girls wore.

Well, if we were just emailing private I'd send you a pic so you could see what I mean (pssst...by the way check your old emails fella...I sent you one with some Queen-related info in it like 47 years ago), but since we're not, it means I had (somewhat) big hair. Those were the hair band days, you know. And as I never watched Friends, I was not a Rachel worshipper. As for what the Spice Girls wore I don't have much recollection, but I did like that song "Say You'll Be There" and remember the first time I ever saw the video. I was a little hurt, though, that I had been left out of the group.

Most Important 90s Hair Styles

Lemons at #16 Baby Spice at #9 Rachel at #1

By the way the hair band days were the 80s not the 90s

Also Lemon Spice sounds like an air freshener or a perfume or cologne or that thing you hang from your car rear view mirror

Hair was still big in the early 90s. I came the closest to #16 in my biggest hair days. It's now subdued to more like a 12 or 14 depending on whether or not I pull it back with my pennyblossoms.

I liked Buffy, series and movie. I liked Firefly but not Serenity

Oh yes you are right. The 90s were still the 80s in the early 90s. Decades take a while to get dressed up properly or what ever is considered proper in them.

CQ did you hate the GOT ending like so many fans do or was it all right by you? dragon

Didn't Leonard get sick on the teacup ride at Disneyland ?

"The 90s were still the 80s in the early 90s. Decades take a while to get dressed up properly " True!! Before leaving for college in the fall of '81 I bought some sweet Levi bell bottoms. By the time cold weather showed up it was apparent that if I was going to ever get any dates I needed straight legs and some button downs. They never got used.

I don't remember about Leonard, but Bernadette did, before even getting on the ride!

I've had some degree of interest in watching Vikings. In part because I have pretty strong Scandinavian family history (which I only recently learned!) and also my sister said it was good. Does it lean more heavily to the side of history or fiction?

I would say fiction. It references the Sagas and known history, but takes significant liberties with both. Definitely not to be taken as as historically accurate in the least. Still a compelling story line with characters who are easy to love and hate.

Thanks Bob! I'm going to put that on my "shows to watch when I'm empty nesting" list. relaxed
