Discuss Teorie velkého třesku

So what did you guys think? Any specific moments that particularly tugged on your heartstrings?

My response: I thought that it was a very sweet and tasteful ending, and I liked it. I thought the whole 2 hours were a warm and tenderhearted way to end a great series, and I really have no complaints. I’m glad they didn’t pull any weird stuff or shockers- it would have been unnecessary, and I’m glad they kept the group all together. That’s how I want to remember them.

Two things I especially loved last night:
1.Being reminded of Howard’s impersonations during the special- I miss those!
2.The last flashback in the special of Sheldon explaining why his spot on the couch was the perfect location. I hadn’t heard that in a long time and for some reason, maybe because I sensed the special was about to end, that’s what really started the tears flowing. What a fun and quirky ride it was!

Quirky? I see you're channeling President Siebert. grinning

I liked it overall too, the only out-of-left-field part was them getting the Nobel prize in the same year they did the prize-winning work. I don't know if there's ever been a case where that really happened.

No doubt we'll hear the cries from those who insist that Penny should have remained happily child-less, and Raj should have admitted to being gay, etc etc. But feh on all of them.

Also, Kunal's comment when they appeared on Colbert about being happy he didn't get killed off, was clearly a reference to Charlie Sheen's fate at the end of "2.5 Men."

I bet "quirky" has been used to describe this show (or at least its characters) more than any other. stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

Oh, and Penny is not just 4 years younger then Leonard. So them showing 8-year-old Leonard and 4-year-old Penny at the end of Young Sheldon, was also "off the wall."

As for the Young Sheldon ending it was cute. Especially Little Amy reading what must have been a Little House on the Prairie Book.

Missed that part...was Laura eating peanut butter??

Yes that was good, but they were more accurate there: the character was "Eleven-Year-Old Amy" according to the credits, where the guys were all 8 or 9.

Yes, agreed. I didn't pay close attention to the whole YS episode, but did during the last scene and thought it was very tastefully done and sweet. I caught the LHOTP book, too. I wasn't sure- the child they showed as Bernie- was that the same actress who played little Haley in TBBT? (By the way, I also thought it was neat we got to see the kids.)

And illegally squatting on native land. They should have shown Amy trying to milk her cat. joy_cat

Oh the pain, the pain!

Oops, wrong show.

Here is the YS scene

Little Bang Theory

I was referring to her pain when trying to milk her cat, and that the expression "Oh the pain, the pain!" is from a different show, I.e., "Lost In Space."

I understood the reference.

Pretty Dr. Smith!! I stepped out to take garbage out during YS and my chatty neighbor nabbed me. Didn't make it back in until the retrospective had started. Fortunately my dvr caught it all....EXCEPT the final sweep of the studio and the lights turning off. That bummed me out. That was a cool ending and went to watch it again and the dang thing shut off just before. Ah...it's on Youtube.

Okay then I don't understand why you replied with the YS final scene on youtube.
