Following the events of this week's episode, do you think they'll have a good/better relationship in the future? The signs seem positive, but things could always go back to how they were.

I think what Leonard did was accept that Beverly is not going to change, and there wasn't any use trying to change her, so he just chose to spare himself that effort and forgive her. He was also tired of being mad at her. With that said, that doesn't mean that they'll be closer. In fact, it's possible that he'll also realize that because she'll never change, the best way to keep the peace with her is to be around her as little as possible.

You don't think that her finally embracing him means anything? Remember he built that hugging machine because of her NOT doing that in the past.

We'll never know what difference that conversation and hug will make for them, if any. I'm sure the hug meant a lot to Leonard at the moment, but I'm not sure if it means things will be better in the long term or not. I think forgiving Beverly was as much about internal peace for Leonard as anything. Poor fella has always wrestled with a lot.

Well that's true. But it sure seemed like, to me anyway, Beverly had reached some kind of revelation or turning-over-a-new-leaf point. Maybe in the final 2 episodes next week, we'll see a little more.

I am thinking that this is the last we see of Beverly.

D'accord. (That is French for "I agree".)
Also, D'poppycock. (That is not any language and doesn't mean anything.)
