Discuss The Big Bang Theory

Was curious--so decided to take a eyes...

WINNERS:

  • MARIE CURIE AND PIERRE CURIE (1903 - Physics)
  • FREDERIC JOLIOT and IRENE JOLIOT-CURIE (1935 - Chemistry)
  • CARL CORI and GERTY CORI (1947 - Medicine or Physiology)
  • MAY-BRITT MOSER and EDVARD MOSER (2014 - Medicine)

ASPIRANTS:

  • AMY FARRAH FOWLER-COOPER and SHELDON LEE COOPER

I guess when you are both that zealous about the same thing(s) all that togetherness is athumbsup_tone1thumbsup_tone1 affair--despite what the comedians would have us believe.

Along these same lines... I think it's kind of neat that they're in contention for the prize together, and Amy is probably the only person on earth with whom Sheldon would share credit. The fact that Sheldon hasn't complained about it once (to the best of my recollection) is a great sign of his love for her.

As you may guess I am no fan of this Noble prize poppycock. I do hope the show will end without Shamy winning it.

84 times a nominee never a winner

And I would like to give you an award just for using the word poppycock.

I agree, it's BS IMHO!

It's nice to know that Amy is indispensable, vital, essential, etc. for Sheldon.

Without her he would never be able/have a chance to win the Nobel Prize.

She is clearly smarter than him, and she'll make sure that their children will also be Nobel Prize winners.

"Smarter" can have different meanings. Sheldon is above Amy in a savant type of way, as he probably is with Leonard too. But Leonard came up with the idea for the gyroscope etc, as Amy suggested the super-asymmetry idea. Basically Sheldon just did the math after that, in both cases.
