Amy's nightmare

Amy's nightmare in the tank reminded me of the episode where the gals go to Disneyland while the boys try to teach school girls about becoming scientists. https://youtu.be/QDdrnacKumg?t=85
However another Amy problem is that she might be winning a Noble for something that is not her field. She is a neuro-biologist not a physicist (and how she helps solve an advanced physics problem is another issue with me). I would rather see Amy get sucess in her own field not Sheldons speciality. Shelly bean better watch out or she will explode on him one day just like she did at Campbell and Pemberton.

Amy's self-affirmation speech in Mrs. Davis' office at the end sounded a lot more like the "Disneyland" Dr. Fowler, than that self-doubting wreck in that Tank.
As for the chance of winning a Nobel in a field other than her own; her knowledge and understanding and comprehension of the complexities of their discovery seems light-years ahead of those two Nobel wannabees—Drs. Pemberton and Campbell.
But, yeah; after all those years of studying and training and working and experimenting in her field, I can see her wanting to win for that. But, all is not lost. I checked, there have been Nobel double-dippers; so her award possibility in her field is still out there.

I just don't care for this storyline. Either they win the Noble or they don't. Super-Asymmety is still some made up deal. Sheldon might as well have discovered Warp Drive for all I care.

In reading some comments from other sites there seems to be a lot of "resistance" where this storyline is concerned.
I find that surprising since Sheldon-winning-a-Nobel-Prize often popped up on fans’ before-the-show-ends wish list.
What went wrong? Where has all the enthusiasm gone? Is it a case of: “Be careful what you wish for”?
Regarding same: this really isn’t a criticism; but, more of an observation…
The Nobel Prize storyline has become so dominant, and since the show is only about 13-14 minutes, it is hard to work in meaty storylines (just bits and pieces) for the rest of the gang (not counting Leonard and Penny, of course, who seem to go where Shamy goes). Maybe that has something to do with some of the lack of/waning enthusiasm for the storyline.
Anyway, this last episode was mostly Leonardcentric; which I thought was a nice change from the Shamy Nobel quest saga.
That being said, I'm still looking forward to seeing my two favorite Nobel interlopers next time around.

I agree. Campbell and Pemberton are the best thing about the show in its waning hours.

Maybe they will go for a Seinfeld-ish series finale: Sheldon and Amy go to jail for offing Campbell and Pemberton.
