(1) Wheaton: “One of the worst things about being a celebrity is you never know if people like you for you.”
Why are we (universal 'we') so celebrity-struck? We don’t chase down our plumbers to take pictures of their every move. So, it can’t be about the money we spend to see them. One visit from a plumber cost at least 23.7 times as much as one visit to a movie. Celebrities are just ordinary people--like the rest of us; so what's the draw
The guys rush to Wheaton’s house when they realize he has a seat to fill for his celebrity D&D game night...
(2) Wheaton: (opening the door and pointing at Howard, Raj and Leonard) “No! No! No!” (and then pointing at Sheldon) “Hell No!”

The back and forth with the "switch seats with me" line going from character to character.

I only saw them switch seats once. There was more seat-switching at the planetarium, as I recall.

I thought I heard it twice. Once with Amy and Joe and once with Penny and Shatner. I re-watched it and there was only one time. Still I remembered it differently ? Puzzling indeed.

I can't think of any reason for Penny and Shatner to switch seats.

Yeah. Only heard it once with Amy & Joe; but, did think it was going to be repeated with Penny & Bill.
Also...
Thought it would have been funny if it had been repeated with Penny & Bill; and then again with Bernie & Kareem. But, the last time with Bernie using the change-seat-line after Kareem mentioned seeing her sucking in the aroma of Joe's hair. I guess that's why they're success writers—knowing what works.

Shatner told Penny he liked her moxie and then she replied that she liked his grandpa words. that could have been followed with a switch seats line so Penny could avoid Shatner hitting on her again.

Or "a switch seats line" by Shatner, who—after turning on his Captain Kirk charm—is 'put out' over Penny’s "grandpa words" rebuff (which I thought was quite funny, by the way).

Also Penny said "Awww and I like your Grandpa words" which really put Shatner in his place. The "Awww" was the best part for me.

But Penny and Shatner switching seats, wouldn't have accomplished anything. She still would have been sitting next to him.
Penny would have had to switch seats with someone else, not with Shatner.

No Silly. Penny would switch seats with Wheaton.

Yes, that would work. But your first comment sounded like you meant that Penny and Shatner switched seats, themselves. Which wouldn't have gotten either of them away from the other.

Also, Penny could have switched with either Kevin, or Joe --although, not with Kareem.

If they only played a game of musical chairs or duck duck goose.

Shatner's "Someday you'll meet a girl" was cute, and harkens back to his "Get a life" bit on SNL. But Leonard should have shown him the picture he sends people of Penny in a bikini.

Or show Shatner, "Serial Apeist" . That would get Kirks photon torpedoes fired up.
