Discuss The Big Bang Theory

Too often Stuart acts as if “The Glass” is half-empty even when it’s filled to the brim.

Finally a really nice someone (Denise) comes along who wants/accepts him “as is” and wants to move their relationship up a notch; and he’s out-of-there faster than the first guy over the wall during a prison break! What was that all about!

If you had a “Stuart” friend, what words-of-wisdom would you offer to help him work through his self-doubt? You can add one or you can add many. (If this topics seems familiar, it's probably because we did it in a previous Thread re: Raj's love life.)

Anyway; here goes...

Stuart, it is time for you to:

--Realize that if you have what it takes to get her—then you have what it takes to keep her; trust yourself.

--Consider that the odds of finding someone else who is so compatible and who is so keen on you “warts and all” may go from slim to slimmer.

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Anyone think that Stuart made the right choice in turning down Denise’s cohabitation offer?

Stuart was probably too self conscious about the whole thing. He might have thought that it is better for Denise not to live with him than live with him and find out what he is like after store hours. Which is not that much different than what he is like at the store. The comic book store might be his security blanket. Is he still living with the Wolowitzs ? That might be embarrassing for him. It is hard for someone who is used to be by themselves to change that situation. Did Denise want him to move in with her ? That might be even scarier for him.

It took YEARS for Amy to make Sheldon cohabitable. And Stuart is almost as messed up as Sheldon. So Denise may have just moved too quickly.

Even though Stuart wasn't ready to accept Denise’s offer to move in, he gave her a key to his place to show his commitment to their relationship—and yes, laughingit was a key to the Wolowitz’s house.
