"Did you know that Halloween is 40 years old?" asks Leonard. I wonder if the show gets some cashback for this kind of obvious mention. I mean there is a heavily promoted new "Halloween" movie out and a campaign that asks that same question. Besides there is nothing really nerdy about the film. Did Howard and Bernie switch to "Mary Poppins" costumes for any reason other that there is a new "Mary Poppins" movie coming out. The first thing I though of when seeing Raj's Ruth Bader Ginsberg costume was the recent documentary "RBG" about her. All of this just comes across as too obvious. Not that I care.

I see product placements as the lesser of two evils--the greater of two evils being more commercial time.

But is there a new Inspector Gadget movie? Or Back To The Future? Aha, that's where your theory falls to the ground!

And at least they were able to somewhat weave it into the show, rather than, say, have Raj come out with "Did you see the new RBG movie? She's Ruth-a-licious!" or something even more inane.

Okay I was just being grumpy there. Ruth-a-liscious? That is a word I can do without but Bader does rhyme with Vader. Nothing can top the Inspector Gadget movie with Mathew Broderick. As for BTTF I will have to time travel with an answer for you. Amy's outfit did look a bit Little House on the Prairie-sh. That old timey gunny sack style does a body good or at least covers it up completely .

Yeah. With so much fabric and so many ruffles and bustles--hard to tell where the body ends and the dress begins.
