A group of Engineering students and their teacher were given free airline tickets to go on holiday. Once on the plane the Captain announced that they were on the plane the students had built. Everyone freaked out and rushed out of the plane except the teacher who stayed there calm. When the flight attendant asked why he hadn’t left, he responded: "I know the abilities of my students quite well, this 'S' won’t even start!”

That sounds like Sheldon, except he would probably just have EVERYONE leave the plane and then "Bazinga!"
(P.S. And if the plane wouldn't even start, how did it get to the airport for them to get on it? If Sheldon told that whole joke, that's what I would come back with to prove him wrong.)

Sheldon wouldn't be able to finish the joke because he would start snickering as soon as he would have to say "A group of Engineering students..."

Sheldon would be snickering, and would screw up the punchline even if he did finish.
ON ANOTHER NOTE:
Probably should have added a disclaimer to mention that I'm not
when it comes to Engineers; just using a joke to reflect Sheldon's many digs at Howard's profession.
