How was Leonard buying Penny a car, high-handed? She was faced with going back to work as a waitress. I guess you could think Leonard held that over her for the future, but I don't remember ever seeing that on the show. And when she got a company car from the pharma company, she "cashed in" the car Leonard gave her and at least tried to give back the money, I think they wound up having sex on it first, and then put it in the bank or something.

Although getting Amy pulled from her project was a biggie--even for Sheldon--it was so like him to be completely out-of-touch when it comes to connecting the dots between what is said and what is meant.

At least when Leonard bought Penny the car he was only thinking of what was best for her; which makes his high-handiness a little easier to take. Sheldon, on the other hand, was only thinking of Amy as an appendage to what was best for him.

I’m sure there is a “learning curve” in marriage, but I fear that poor Amy better get use to such goings-on; can't see Sheldon changing any time soon.

I would never want anyone deciding anything for me (court order(s) aside ).

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Are the writers 'picking on' Sheldon; that’s the second week in a row I’ve wanted to (you know ) Sheldon. I don’t like disliking one of my favorite characters; but an “A” is an “A”; and in the last two episodes he has been an "A".

Is anyone else ?

I always feel that way about Sheldon. That it why I do not watch first run episodes. He makes me angry & I can't see watching a show that focuses on a character that makes me angry. I do watch an occasional rerun but if Sheldon is the focus & I put the TV on mute.
