Do you like Raj's finance? Im not feeling her at all.
First off not to sound mean, but I think they could have casted a much hotter, or cuter Indian actress, there are so many beautiful ones. This actress is not all that attractive at all? Remember the actress who played Raj's sister DAMN SHE WAS HOT!
Second off, Raj is literally the American dream. He's the only one who's not white, who's an immigrant, he came to the USA to pursue his dreams, why not have him live the American Dream. Why not have him find the girl of his dreams by a romantic way, not by his parents arrange marriage.
More so, Raj over came so much. Remember for 1/2 the show he could not even speak in public in front of other girls in the room? Then one day he finally over came that and became pretty charming talker with the ladies. Why have him over come that only to be kicked back down to have his parents have to save him and finally find him an arrange marriage wife?
Thirdly, she does not seem all that nice, compassionate, friendly, or would get along with Raj or even their circle. She seems pretty bossy, short tempered, and condescending. It would be much better if Raj found someone who would better fit his personality and had a ton of things in common with him right?

I agree music is so important to me. Imagine taking like a 6 hour road trip with some chick and she's like can we turn the music off I just want complete silence lol. I'd probably tell her to catch a Uber after that.
I also need it playing in the background while I work, exercise, or clean my place. I can't stand total silence unless I'm like reading or studying for something.

No music should be a total relationship breaker for Raj and his Beyoncé mix CDs as well as his Bollywood movie nights.

Also, I can't speak for Raj (although his history would suggest something very similar), but I think if I ever saw Anu naked, I would - as the saying goes - run screaming into the night.

Bad enough, I'd say. Frankly, just her nose is enough for me to walk. And we've never seen her in what I would call revealing clothing, I would say for good reason. Just being female is not sufficient. So is my 85-year-old mother.

I think I have been, more or less. But aside from my own taste, I think she's just totally wrong for Raj in the looks department. Besides being a "hopeless romantic" he's also been far more interested in physical attractiveness than can be justified by Anu. Every one of his previous relationships, including Lucy, was far more attractive.

Again exactly my point. This is freaking RAJ! To me he's actually my favorite character on TBBT, because he's the American Dream. He's the one who overcame the most. Leaving India, making friends, language barriers, accents, culture shock, racism, discrimination, xenophobia, his weird can't talk to chicks unless I'm DRUNK syndrome, which he over came.
Like you said all the other girls he dated were all pretty much hot and cute at the very least. Then he SETTLES for Anu who is not hot at all, and not even that cute really. She is short, chubby, has like a mean rhino face as well reminds me of Rock Steady and B-Bop from the Ninja Turtles Cartoons if anything, and she's all wrong for him personality wise. They have nothing in common at all. She still invites her ex over to her home behind Raj's back. All RED FLAGS to be honest.

Which would make her the perfect Superhero/Villain The Rhino
So who would everyone here prefer? I'll cast my vote for Nina Davuluri

How about the real Mrs Nayyar? Unless she's a terrible actor or something. Then the guys could rag on Raj for her being way out of his league.

Funny, that you chose her...
Seems she would be the last to buy into any of these disparaging remarks about Anu…
"I really wanted to help effect a change in beauty standards . ... Miss America's branding is so associated with the girl next door, which has always meant blonde hair and blue eyes with only a few exceptions, but the girl next door must evolve as the country evolves. When I was younger I wanted to fit in, but I was aware growing up that I didn't fit that mould, and I really wanted to help make a change that meant young girls wouldn't feel like that." — Nina Davuluri
In fact, she doesn’t sound at all like the kind of person who’d consider limiting someone whose looks doesn’t match somebody else’s stereotypical notion of what’s ideal. Truth is; she seems like the kind of person who’d give naysayers a severe putdown.

Raj had his chance with other hot women and has shown that he is not worthy of their hand in marriage. Anu actually is okay with marrying him. Even Anu should recognize that Raj is not a good fit with his quirks, likes, and personality traits. It is not even an opposites attract situation. Maybe a typical arranged marriage deal. Too bad but that is how the show is going.
They will just have to grow into each other or maybe just divorce in a year or two only for Raj to discover all his exes are unavailable.

He already found out they're not available when he asked them for advice. They had all moved on to great relationships, AFTER him.

NOTE TO: [@MrCharmingMan] Although I'm quoting from your post, this isn't directed at you in particular--it's just that the idea is already here, so thought: may as well use it.)
Anyway...
With a, no doubt, plentiful supply of central casting cookie cutter cuties available to them (not to mention the untold number an open call by the number one sitcom in the world would have brought in), why do you think the showrunners chose this actress for the role?
What could they have been thinking?
Surely they must have known that someone with her build and features would set the “peanut gallery” ablaze? Why do this, when they so easily could have cast a-same-type as the previous 300+ Raj devotees (and some not so) who had been on the show?
Certainly? /Definitely?/Unquestionably?--there must have been some kind of around-the-table discussion re: same?
You can't cast in a vaccum. What do you think was their mindset?
