Do you like Raj's finance? Im not feeling her at all.

First off not to sound mean, but I think they could have casted a much hotter, or cuter Indian actress, there are so many beautiful ones. This actress is not all that attractive at all? Remember the actress who played Raj's sister DAMN SHE WAS HOT!

Second off, Raj is literally the American dream. He's the only one who's not white, who's an immigrant, he came to the USA to pursue his dreams, why not have him live the American Dream. Why not have him find the girl of his dreams by a romantic way, not by his parents arrange marriage.

More so, Raj over came so much. Remember for 1/2 the show he could not even speak in public in front of other girls in the room? Then one day he finally over came that and became pretty charming talker with the ladies. Why have him over come that only to be kicked back down to have his parents have to save him and finally find him an arrange marriage wife?

Thirdly, she does not seem all that nice, compassionate, friendly, or would get along with Raj or even their circle. She seems pretty bossy, short tempered, and condescending. It would be much better if Raj found someone who would better fit his personality and had a ton of things in common with him right?

First off I strongly disagree with you about her looks, she's beautiful, that's not an issue.

The writer's are going with classic comedic Irony, the one relationship Raj has that might grow into something functional and permanent is the relationship he had arranged for him.

It would be so fitting for Raj to find his wife that way.

The writers have done the "arranged marriage" plot twice before, so I guess third time's the charm.

I never said she was ugly. I said there are way hotter gorgeous drop dead Indian actresses out there. Shoot the world is made up with Chinese and Indian people more than the rest of us lol.

There is room for only one "hot chick" on the show and that is Penny. Kaley wouldn't stand for some good looking interloper to turn off her spotlight

Well that certainly explains Mayim/Amy. grinning

But what did they really know about Raj, at that time? Probably only what his family told them. Do you think they told Anu's parents about all of Raj's oddities? I doubt it. They probably said that he's a Ph.D in astrophysics and works at Caltech, but not that he's basically paid by Sheldon (which could change at any time) and lives above Bert's garage. And Anu is only starting to find out about them too. Remember, she didn't know from meeting him, that he likes to wear women's deodorant. She found that out from Bernadette and Penny. And that might be one of his lesser oddities.

Bernadette accepted Howard with all his oddities. It took a while, there was even a breakup, but they're married now with two children.

So, why wouldn't Anu, after some hesitation and silly situations, accept Raj for "better or worse"? innocent smiling_imp

"Just because someone is perfect for you, doesn't mean they are perfect."

Knew that statement was a winner the moment I read it. It's one of the “wish-I-had-knowns” from the bio of an actor writing about marriage-lessons she had learned and marriage mistakes she had made.

It’s not just words of wisdom for marriages; because the “doesn't mean they are perfect” part is good advice for a lot of life’s everyday situations.

Anyway...

We all have our quirks. Why would Raj be any different. Also, Anu may have some quirks of her own. What if she wears men deodorant!?

DID A SEARCH:

HowStuffWorks: "The only reason that manufacturers offer men and women different deodorants is to make more money. Men's deodorants are not stronger or in any other way different than women's deodorants."

How do they make more money, unless they're actually charging more for the men's or the women's than for the others? And that would be sexist! We can't have THAT!

But just men and women, each buying their own deodorant, doesn't make for any more sales than if they each bought the same thing. Or if, in the case of a couple, each buys a separate one rather than both using the same one which has to be bought twice as often for two people. Unless they're charging different prices (again, unfair sexism!) they wouldn't get any more money.

And if Raj does prefer to smell "daisy fresh" rather than "forest fresh" or something, well, that does say something about him.

LOL MEAN. Blossom was kinda cute when she was on Blossom. But yeah as a 40 something actress definitely not, but hey if she can land the biggest tv show and get upgraded to co-star then she is doing something right.

A 30- or 40-something mother of 2 or 3 children, pretending to be an ascetic virgin? That was always just too much of a stretch for me.

That she "landed" the show (but once she was mentioned in the Physics Bowl episode, was it really chance any more?) might say something about her acting, but the issue here was about looks.

oh well that actress who played SIX on Blossom was hot and still is lol

Yes, I've mentioned that before on other threads, and previously on the imdb boards. Jenna Von Oy. ("Oy" is right!) And she's also had 2 kids.

So judging by the last episode Raj and his fiancé are coming to grips that they don't know each other at all and can't trust each other.

I think that was messed up that She had her ex boyfriend come over to pick up his water pick and eat dinner with her. This was just straight disrespectful to Raj.

It could be worse. Penny had one of her ex-boyfriends stay with her while he was in town.

What was even more disrespectful was Raj's invasive behavior. The underhandedness of Raj's secretly monitoring her place clearly outweighs her having her ex come by for his Waterpik and dinner. Whether she was up to conduct unbecoming is debatable; but, when it comes to Raj's actions--there is no doubt.

I disagree. She wanted Raj to install the RING for her. He got a notification that someone came over perhaps he wanted to make sure she safe or that the product worked. If that never happened she probably would have never even admitted that her ex came over for dinner at all. I think people forget in 2019 there are cameras everywhere its not like the 1950's or 1980's where you can literally get away with murder but now there's cameras EVERYWHERE!
