Denise is a catch, Riki Lindhome- cute , and I like her personality. Anu comes off as way too high maintenance, I don't think her and Raj are compatible.

I'm not a fan of people trying to connect after they start a relationship, the connection should always come first.

Penny And Leonard are a mess as usual, how were kids not discussed in excruciating detail before wedding bells? Is is possible Penny was open to it before ,then changed her mind?

Bernadette wasn't very supportive of Penny when they spoke about it either.

I agree that relationships don't stand much of a chance if there is no initial spark, but I'm not sure Anu showed her true self to Raj on the first date. (Is she really pushy, head-strong and "all business" or is she romantic?) The connection may have to be delayed until he sees who she really is. And if she really is romantic, I think there was some spark at the end of their date as evidenced by the kiss and flirty comment about her tongue piercing.

Then again, next episode she could un-zip her head revealing an alien inside which sends Raj running away screaming.

Or they could board her spaceship and spend the rest of their days studying the stars up close. That would be the coolest.

Denise - She comes across as so affable that I don’t foresee a boiled bunny in Stuart’s future—even if he ends the relationship. Of course, she doesn’t have to worry because the chance of him ending the relationship is zero.

Anu - As soon as I’m 100% sure who the real Anu is—I’m prepared to like her even more.

Raj and Anu - As for whether they are compatible thinking.

Well at least Raj would have a romantic story to tell his grandchildren. That seems very important to him.

I won't fall for Raj's trap again. Everytime he meets a new girl he manages to charm her in the beginning but eventually he finds a way to ruin it. I think the spark was smoke and mirrors.

Although, the writers could throw us a curve ball by having his first successful relationship be the one he had arranged for him. Irony!

Well, these are my thoughts on what the writers have to do. Unlike in previous seasons, the writers know that this is the very last season. Therefore they must wrap up Raj's love-life story whether it is allowing him and Anu to succeed, or him being single at the end of the show. There's not enough time left for him to go through a continued string of ladies to find the right one before the show ends. In previous seasons the writers had the luxury of dumping Raj's love prospects if for some reason they didn't like where the story was going, but they can't do that now. It's basically got to be Anu or no one this season.

Might Raj always regret that he never met his one true love? Or does he meet his one true love after he has married Anu? face_palm_tone4

If the writers do that I'll stick hot dogs down their pants and sic a Rottweiler on them.

Don't worry. Raj's one true love is Cinamon and always will be.

How sad for Raj. Cinnamon may have already been through half of her life expectancy. At any rate, she's not going to live as long as most people do.

No Knixon you are wrong. While Cinnamons physical body might not last Raj will have Howard build a robot body for her. Imagine a Robot Cinnamon dog robot That's gonna happen.

I like to believe that writers don’t choose character names in a vacuum;--but maybe that’s just hoping for too much.

Anyway, I was curious about the name “Anu”, and wondering if there is any foreshadowing contain therein. What I found…

People having the name Anu are in general originating from Estonia, Finland, India.

MEANINGS:

• Hebrew meaning: Grace; favour

• Estonian meaning: Grace; favour

• Finnish meaning: Grace; favour

• Indian meaning: Born subsequently

Born subsequently seems a confused meaning for a name.

But, I worked with a guy; he and his wife had twin sons—10 years later (after they had give up all hope of having more) they had twin daughters. I guess you could say the girls were born subsequently?

As for "foreshadowing" in the name Anu: found nothing that suggests anything--yet!

Cinnamon the robot Daggit? (Battlestar Galactica reference, for those who aren't aware.)

You know how "experts" are; can't wait to give you the benefit of their experience.

And as we’ve all seen, Bernie isn't known for picking-and-choosing her words; so, whatever she has to say is likely to come across sounding more callous than compassionate.

So, supportive, no--but gotta believe she was doing what she thought was in Penny's best interest; and told Penny what she thought Penny needed to hear.

Glad you mentioned this conversation because now that I think about it, I don't remember them having such a conversation when Bernie was the one not wanting kids. Also looked it up, just in case I missed it; but, couldn't find a clip.

I remember Howard discussing it with the guys. Seems strange that Bernie didn't discuss it with the girls—especially Penny since they are such fast-friends and Penny was her matchmaker.

Could the reason for the absence of such a conversation be that the writers were planning this no-baby-for-Penny maneuver all along—or just wanted to keep their options open? Obviously, such a conversation would have exposed Penny’s baby-view(s)?

(Of course, if the conversation did take place, and I missed it—I take all of this back. sunglasses )

I don't remember Bernadette and Penny having a babies conversation between themselves, in the past. But Howard had made it clear that not having kids was a deal-breaker for him, so Penny didn't need to be involved. And Leonard and Penny have discussed it at least some, that we've seen. For example, when Leonard suggested they might have 5 or 6, Penny said something about "you think this body is going to go through having 6 kids? No, 2 is enough."

I find this Penny and Leonard discussing kids and maybe even breaking up for a brief time or just discussing that to be just filler material to pad the show out for the rest of the season. I think it will end with them just like they are now or maybe even with Penny pregnant or Leonard pregnant, who knows.
