I think that people have several soulmates, and that this term can apply to both friends and significant others. The idea that people only have one soulmate in the whole wide world is ridiculous.

After I signed off I thought about what I wrote: "the only two such people on the planet" and expected someone to point out that there is only "one each" of every person on the planet; so of course they are the only two such people.

Maybe "the only two such people on the planet" phrase is a tad hyperbolical.

But, wasn't going for "soulmate" so much as them being so quirkily oddish, and compatible, that there are bound to be two 'broken molds' somewhere.

Hi FKA. I hope you didn't see my post as disputing something you had said. I actually had not read the post of yours to which you were referring and was just giving a thought on something Knixon had said. I really wasn't disputing anyone.

In terms of soul mates, I didn't believe in the concept either...until I met one. Also, in terms of significant others I think there are those who are soul mates and others who are good "life partners". And sometimes the two can be the same person, but not always. It's complicated and I don't want to derail this thread.

Anyway, I hope the writers will allow Raj to end happy, whatever shape that may take.

That seems likely. The usual intent of a prenup is to deal with the property/finances that each brought in. Things that happen after the marriage may be considered "joint property" regardless, and a prenup that tries to specify such things might be ruled unenforceable, especially depending on where it was made (i.e., which state).

But of course, in a TV show they would not be constrained by any kind of real-world facts. And with only about 20 episodes to go, the only way it could really be an issue is if Raj and Anu get married and then Raj's parents die, before the finale.

Meanhile if Raj's father married that grad student first, she - Raj's new step-mother - would likely inherit it all anyway, or at least whatever the ex-wife doesn't get. Since she's younger than Raj, he might NEVER get anything from his father's estate. Especially if she married again, and they spent it all.

We don't know how much Raj's mother walked away with. She doesn't seem like she would be one to mess with.

I thought there was some talk of that, from Raj's father. But he still had a lot left after that.

I liked Rajs mother and would love to see her again.
On another topic Brian George appears in a new show "I feel bad" but I have only seen the previews.

He also appeared in season 1 of The Orville, but probably not a recurring role.

I saw that. Brian is one of those lucky actors who appears all over the place in different shows.

Whenever they need some kind of foreign-looking and -sounding guy whose accent is not so bad that he can't be understood?

Saw him on "The Orville". And, he also has a recurring role on "The Expanse." (That could be had a recurring role--fans are still - about whether his character is still alive.)
