We all know what we would like to see at the end but what don't you want to see. I would like for whatever old faces appear that they would have a good reason. Unlike Leslie Winkle just appearing at Sheldon's birthday party in the background.

Okay, how about Leslie Winkle went to the sperm bank that Leonard and Sheldon dealt with, and...

I don't mean NOW, I mean like 11 years ago...

Well, I'll give you creativity points for that, but no. No more Leslie Winkle. Leslie Winkle was mean.

I'm also not interested in seeing a parade of other short-lived characters brought back to the show just for nostalgia. I especially don't want to see any of Raj's ex-girlfriends. Blech. There's a reason why they're not on the show anymore! In fact, the only former short-lived characters I would have any interest in seeing again are Dale and Althea.

Now imagine me saying all of that while pounding my fists on the table for added effect.

I had another thought. What if, thinking Sheldon/Leonard actually... followed through... at the sperm bank, Leslie Winkle went there. But they didn't. So her baby's father is actually... Kripke?

The sperm bank scene was in the un-aired rejected pilot. Its not canon. Should have been shot with a canon however. Or is it. SO what your saying is that Leslie is Kripke's .... Wait? What?

In the original unaired pilot, they were at the sperm bank, and went through with it. They took the money and bought Indian (?) food for themselves, and for Katie whom they found crying on the street.

In the aired pilot, although it seems people who only see it in syndication on TNT and elsewhere don't know it because that part has been cut, they were still at the sperm bank. But they didn't follow through.

So the idea is, especially since they told Penny upon first meeting her "Today we tried masturbating for money," and they might have told others - perhaps including Leslie - what they PLANNED to do; if they never (or too late) came clean about what actually happened, Leslie might have gone to the sperm bank expecting to get a "Sample" from Leonard or Sheldon. (Or perhaps a mixture? They do that sometimes, at sperm banks.)

If Leslie asked for "physicists from Caltech" or something, although Leonard and Sheldon didn't "proceed," maybe Kripke did. And Kripke is, after all, another "physicist from Caltech."

Another possibility is that the sperm bank wasn't specific enough about "physicist" versus "astrophysicist" and so Leslie had Raj's baby.

Or maybe someone at the sperm bank thinks "physicist" and "geologist" aren't that different, so Leslie had Bert's baby. Who, at age 1 year or so, was already taller than her.

I have seen that original second pilot version just once. The masturbating line seems like a leftover "Two and a Half Men" line. I doesn't make sense to me why they would do that. I also don't see why Leslie would want or need that. She was barely interested in sex and getting pregnant no way. Finally as Ramona would say: Eww. As for a baby Bert ? thinking

Well except when shown on TNT and elsewhere when it apparently gets cut - which means it is not cut on the dvd/Blu-ray versions - Leonard and Sheldon do begin the episode at the sperm bank. The only real leftover line is where Leonard says that Sheldon is a "semi-pro." That fits the unaired version, but not the aired one.

I would say that Leslie barely NEEDED sex, but that's not why women go to sperm banks anyway.

Amy "dated" once a year to satisfy her mother. Who knows what Leslie might have been offered if she had a kid? And especially if it was significant enough that she could hire someone(s) else to raise it. And she apparently planned/expected to have kids with Leonard.

Here is the pilot, in 7 parts. I hadn't seen it all, in the last part this girl was talking about her & Sheldon having sex. I had always thought that he lost his virginity to Amy.

This is the pilot that was rejected and unaired because it was rejected. It was redone with Penny and the new theme song. Katie and Gilda with the Katie character replaced by Penny, were excised from the show. Sheldon having sex was taken out. Sheldon is a different character than he was in this. It is like an alternate BBT that never made it. Don't mean to be picky but it is not part of the show as we have seen it since. The aired pilot is the one that makes sense now. This doesn't.

For Knixon: The only semi-pro now is the team of Amy and Gerard. As for a baby Leslie, that is a job for you now. So get to work there Knixon. Give Leslie a call and set up an appointment for some loop quantum babymaking before Bert and Kripke do it first. Then with Leslie who knows.

No I know this is/was the unaired pilot, sorry I didn't make that clear.

At least arguably - if not obviously - Gilda became Leslie, but she and Sheldon didn't have sex before she and Leonard did, unlike in the unaired pilot where Sheldon had some kind of spur-of-the-moment Pon Farr type thing with Gilda at least once.

But in the aired pilot, although Leonard and Sheldon didn't "follow through" at the sperm bank, they still had the line about Sheldon being a "semi-pro" which didn't fit.

Sorry didn't mean to be nerdy about this nerd I suppose you know about the knockoff BBT that was done in the country of Belarous until the cast found out they were copying another show.

The Theorists

I bet it wasn't because the cast just "found out," it was because they were being paid 1 million rubles per episode, which is about $1.98.

The Theorists

No biggie.

I watched the first few minutes of it (Теоретики) & to me it came off as a parody. Although maybe it was just that it wasn't made well?

All I can say is that while Belarus might not have enough rubles to put into television production they have one spiffy flag.

Fun with Flags - Belarus

What DON'T I want to see?

How about this?

In the final episode, William Shatner as Captain Kirk - or for less money, Tim Allen as Captain Taggart (Galaxy Quest) - turns out was just examining another imitative culture such as the Iotians (Star Trek, "A Piece Of The Action") - or the Thermians ("Galaxy Quest") - and all 12 seasons were really just those aliens imitating the "historical documents" they received from Earth of the early 2000s. Maybe they even started imitating the Belarus version and continued on their own, improvising...

Or heck, maybe they could BOTH do it. Shatner for the first half of the episode, Allen for the second. It's not like either part would need to be over 10 minutes long.

And for even less money Kevin Sorbo (Andromeda). Heck the aliens could even be imitating BBT from the starting point of the Katie/Gilda pilot attempt and improvise from that point. Maybe three alien races each fashioning their world from all three versions in a giant crossover event. Those ST trek episodes where they discover an alien planet that is just like earth except the inhabitants act and dress like1920s gangsters or ancient Greeks or American Indians or whatever else they did were some of the iffy-est episodes. And there were a lot of dodgy episodes in the original series.

Another way not to end the series would be if it were revealed that the entire TBBT world was the virtual creation of a resident of Sheldonopolis.
