We all know what we would like to see at the end but what don't you want to see. I would like for whatever old faces appear that they would have a good reason. Unlike Leslie Winkle just appearing at Sheldon's birthday party in the background.

The things that I would not want to see in the finale are the opposites of the things that I would want to see in the finale which were detailed in my recent thread in which almost no one posted and for which I was chided. However if you must have a concrete example I would not want to see Santa Claus tap dancing. I also don't want to see Leslie Winkle. Under any circumstances. Even circumstances that make sense. No Leslie Winkle.

Okay, how about Leslie Winkle went to the sperm bank that Leonard and Sheldon dealt with, and...
I don't mean NOW, I mean like 11 years ago...

This seems to have been more of a problem with sitcoms ending in the 1980s and 1990s, but just in case not all contemporary writers have learned the lesson, I'm going to say it:
Please, no flashback montages.

Well, I'll give you creativity points for that, but no. No more Leslie Winkle. Leslie Winkle was mean.
I'm also not interested in seeing a parade of other short-lived characters brought back to the show just for nostalgia. I especially don't want to see any of Raj's ex-girlfriends. Blech. There's a reason why they're not on the show anymore! In fact, the only former short-lived characters I would have any interest in seeing again are Dale and Althea.
Now imagine me saying all of that while pounding my fists on the table for added effect.

Sheldon winning ANY TYPE OF AWARD, unless it's an 'Ig Noble'!

There, there...
When it was just a someday-thing, I didn't have a problem cavalierly offering up wanna-sees. But, now that it's a for-real-thing, I'm finding it a lot harder to get into that mindset.
Could it be that others also are under-motivated when it come to highlighting things they want to see when it endsโwhen they donโt want it to end in the first place?
As for being chided - why?

That was just me being sassy with Z. I take for granted sometimes that people might actually take me seriously. But thank you for your kind words! That was very nice. ๐

Oh Lemons that was just me saying that your question has already been asked before. I did not mean to chide you. What I meant was to chive you. Like you being a chive turkey. You know back when you were a Soul Train dancer.

Oh Z, those were the days. You and me, walking arm-in-arm down the Vegas Strip. Both of us wearing fur coats, you wearing a top hat with a feather in it and me with sparkly stilettos. You'd drop me off at my Solid Gold dancing gig (I was a Solid Gold dancer not a Soul Train dancer) then afterwards we'd go out for Tab and Shasta. How could I forget?
And chiding or chiving, I still love you just as much as the day many moons ago that you posted the very first Lemon Song thread.

It was Solid Gold. That was the one where the women wallered around on the floor wearing pantyhose. That was my life's dream.

Fine, we'll just let those days be our little secret.
I have been a bit under the weather today so it's time for me to go to bed. I will try to think of some more answers to your original query tomorrow. By the way I've always thought that under the weather was an odd way to describe being sick. What does that mean? That I'm standing underneath the rain? That I'm standing underneath the sunshine? When you're well are you within the weather? On top of the weather? You can be pondering these questions tonight.

Donโt want to see the writers offer up a final
to fans by giving up a maiden name for Penny. Instead; much rather see the absence of one become part of TBBT lore.

Not that they could squeeze very many into an 18ish-minute show; but, also wouldn't mind having a chance to say goodbye to a few old faces--Leslie's included.
Always loved it that while Sheldon was constantly running roughshod over all the others--Leslie could always bring him to a screeching halt and leave him sputtering or speechless.
