Big Bang Butterfly Effect

If a butterfly were to land on Sheldon's nose, what would he do?
Just kidding. Name one portion of the storyline which if deleted would have a major effect on the overall arc. Then name one portion which if deleted would probably have little to no effect.
Mine:
Major: Howard and Raj signing Sheldon up for online dating...and the dirty sock.
Minor: The guys fighting over the Lord of the Rings ring.

Major: Howard and Bernie "employing" Stuart to take care of Deb-Deb.
Which led to her financing the rebuilding of the comic book store. – Which led to "Gaiman" coming in and putting the place on the nerd map. - Which led to Stuart needing more help. Which led to….
Minor: Raj’s WhatEverThatWas with that older cleaning lady. Which led nowhere.

Leonard dating Priya : if it never happened his relationship with Raj would be a lot better.
Also, looking back ,the Raj and Penny storyline that would have been monumental then is completely irrelevant now.
