Let's change up the format as well. Instead of posting a song per day just post what you've been listening to recently and we'll discuss.
Deftones is my favorite band and I've been re- listening to all their albums with my roomie this summer.
Tell me what you think

I wanted to see them live for my birthday this year but they don't tour the East Coast until September 😊

Not everyone who sees it will post about it.
I saw it earlier--then went on to a version by "Buster Poindexter"--decided that Buster's was more fun; so, didn't comment on the one you put up.

I like several Bread songs, but I don't like this one. The grammar in the title is terrible. What the heck does I'm-a want you mean?

This is from THE WHO, called ANOTHER TRICK DAY. I've been re-examining the FACE DANCES album. Back in the day when it was released, I was anxious for more tunes like BABA O'REILLY and WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN. Hard rocking tunes. And I always enjoyed Townshends's solo album EMPTY GLASS. Townshend was the main writer for THE WHO, and I always thought FACE DANCES felt like a rushed, and is come cases, unfinished tunes. EMPTY GLASS's "ROUGH BOYS", "LET ME LOVE OPEN THE DOOR", and "GONNA GET YA" were all far superior to anything on FACE DANCES. And ANOTHER TRICKY DAY to me always started so weak and the lyrics were border line simple. Most times I stopped listening to that song after 15 seconds.
But recently I've been going back and listening to that album. With age I can appreciate several songs on the album way more than I ever did as a punk kid. ANOTHER TRICKY DAY seems almost more relevant today than 38 years ago. "This is no social crisis, just another tricky day for you" sums up how I feel about the hysteria of both sides of our political culture today. And the chord and melodic changes are more appreciated by me today than before. It's not a perfect tune, and some of the lyrics still seemed forced merely because they rhyme (which BUGS me). But overall, it's a much better song than I remember, as is the entire album. The LIVE version gives Pete a chance to make it a bit harder and rockier than the studio version.

Elvis Week - August 9-18, 2018. (I remember there being a pretty intense discussion on here early on about him...including speculations about how long this rabid-fan-fascination with him will continue.)
--An excerpt from a "Graceland" site...
"Fans from around the world will gather at Graceland in Memphis to celebrate and honor the life of Elvis Presley during Elvis Week 2018 – which will be the biggest Elvis Week in history. Unprecedented concerts, special performances and guest appearances will take place from August 9 through 18 at Graceland’s new entertainment complex, Elvis Presley’s Memphis."
Couldn't decided what to put out here; then
what about his best selling song (
me too)...

Because of the Weezer cover of Toto's Africa and then Toto's cover of Weezers Hash pipe. Now I wonder what Sheldon thinks of this number ?

I read in the comments where someone heard that this song was inspired by the movie THX-1138. This being the internet, of course the commenter got
responses.
Anyway, I like re-watching this movie every few years...just because. Don't know whether to say it has held up surprising well; or to say that it was so predictive.
Anyway, next time I watch I'll have to do so with this song in mind.

Apparently it was inspired by THX 1138 http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=6804
But I always thought it was about Agent 99 Barbara Feldman in the show Get Smart
The video is very THX 1138 by the way. I will also have to re-watch it.
And of course Rosanna was about Rosanne Arquette, but also about another Rosanna.
