Apspriest The Big Bang Theory

Let's change up the format as well. Instead of posting a song per day just post what you've been listening to recently and we'll discuss.

Deftones is my favorite band and I've been re- listening to all their albums with my roomie this summer.

Tell me what you think

Deftones-Be Quiet and Drive https://youtu.be/asqR6fDQw8s

I wanted to see them live for my birthday this year but they don't tour the East Coast until September 😊

I am listening to London Grammar then Lana Del Rey someone recommended me her this song (Brooklyn Baby) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0E053G7MUM and now I became her fan.

I have 50 Lana Del Rey songs in my playlist.

West Coast is my favorite song by her.

I haven't listened to that song but just played it now hopefully I am gonna like it

The first thing to pop up today:

Planet of the Apes - Main Titles (Instrumental)

A few weeks ago I re-watched the 2000 film "Wonder Boys" which featured a song by Bob Dylan and written by him for the film itself, and won best song Oscar to boot. While I am not a big Dylan fan myself I really got hooked on this number.
Things have Changed

One one hand I think its a great movie on the other a big mess trying to fit so much in from the novel.

Here is a scene from the film for all you Marvel fans.
Before they became superheros

Thanks.

Never heard the song before--like it.

Also; before hearing this, never-ever would have used Dylan an uptempo in the same sentence--nice.

The movie (Wonder Boys) and book it is based on (by Michael Chabon) are good too. Sheldon would not like it as it seems a pretty accurate portrayal of student and teacher life in the liberal arts sector of a college. Unless he took it as a dystopian tale of a world where no one studies physics.

Here is FLEETWOOD MAC with an 'early' version of "GOLD DUST WOMAN".

I've been getting into a lot of these 'Demo' versions of tunes. There's a lot of them on Youtube. Quite a few from THE CARS. It's really cool to hear these early demos, and then compare them to the tracks the bands put on the albums. One of the great things about the internet. Back in the day these versions just sat in vaults, never to be heard.

Yes it is interesting to hear demos and compare them to the final product. Here is a look the song "Dreams" from demo to final track

I have "Dreams" In my playlist too. I love Fleetwood Mac.

Here's an extended version of GYPSY. I love this song. Some memories are ingrained into our heads. The day I got my license, and took off in a car for the very first time, the first song I heard was GYPSY. This extended version is really good, but the best part comes at 4:22 as the guitar is really expanded. Sometimes extended versions don't work, but this ending really puts a stamp on this song. Even though it's not sanctioned by the band, it's a great edit.

FLEETWOOD MAC - GYPSY extended - guitar ending only

Caught the movie "On Demand" way-back-when. But, was in-and-out of it; so, probably why I missed the Dylan song; also, that was before I discovered the magnificentness of movie soundtracks.

As for your superhero clip--surprised when I saw Downey Jr.—had forgotten he is in it.

I would like to add one of my favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrnWp5O0DEs

"Hit the Road Jack"

I like its use of music notes and sounds.

But wait. I wanted people to see my song

Don't worry I saw and heard your song. Good choice smiley Anyways this is a slow thread with some fast posters so give it time, your song will be noticed. I also liked your phrase about "music notes and sounds". Keep on posting !
