Unless Cuoco cuts her hair again, I fear TBBT Board will not see a second birthday.
The Board started out pretty strong—and since people kept dropping in, it seemed as if it had a chance to flourish—but now it is a mere shadow of its former self.
Where have all the posters gone?
--Are folks lurking more, and posting less?
--Have they been lured away by more exciting on other Boards, or did they just call-it-a-day posting-wise when it comes to the show?
--Is it the show's fault--has it not provided enough meaty material: episodes/topics/guest star appearances for posters to sink their teeth into?
--Have posters on here not been congenial enough?
Not sounding a death knell (just yet); but what started out as a has slowly become a
.
As they say on the medical shows: I think you should prepare yourselves….

Everyone is on a summer break just like the show?

It looks like there is less than half a dozen posters left at this time. Now it is summer so hopefully it will bounce back when the series starts up again.
I suggest that anyone still here post a summer time OT thread and everyone contribute a comment to it. That might not be much but at least it might bring some life here.

I don't know about all of them, but I saw "Rabbit" posting elsewhere. It's possible that some people, maybe including them, weren't here to discuss the show as much as they were just to butt heads with BLT/BLT/etc, or to carry on with Lemons like they should get a room... I'm fine without all the extraneous fluff. Let them post to each other on the Get A Room thread, or something.

Good suggestion. Too bad we lost our #1 OT-Thread-Head (a compliment, I assure you.) While I'm not very good at remembering usernames, a poster's writing styles/proclivities tend to stick with me.

Didn't take much to rattle that poster's chains--guess some folks enjoy that sort of thing. That sort of thing being a boilerplate POV. Pick a subject matter; and I'm willing to bet that 99.9% of the Board could have guessed what that poster's tirade would entail.
Folks who want to go back to reading that nonsense over-and-over are probably the same people who enjoy watching a dog chase its tail.
As for the "Get A Room" folks, as long as it's PGish AND clever--I don't mind.

I'm not really sure why we're speaking in code. Just use the person's screen name.
In any event, the reason I've not been around lately is because I've been very busy.
As for the traffic - I think TBBT from IMDB took a huge hit when they shut down that board. It scattered most of the posters to different boards. Here, Reddit, and probably 5-8 other sites. It was a shame when IMDB did that. As a result I RARELY use IMDB anymore. I'll just go to Wikipedia and get nearly all the same info.
As for Knixon stating_ "I'm fine without all the extraneous fluff." _ Sorry - I just choked on my coffee. lol

Go to film boards , it's more active.
Here is dead because the season ended and half the posters are elsewhere.

I saw an article about why TBBT has been losing popularity, and most of it seems to be attrition of viewers who've lost interest while the way the show is now doesn't really attract new ones. Both because the subjects themselves are less interesting, and because if you just jump in now, so much has already gone by that it's easy to feel lost.
