It's the off season so you know a slew of OT threads are coming. One thing I've been thinking about: Is Meaghan Markle the luckiest woman ever?
This girl was a D list actress on suits , now she's "Her Royal Highness ,the Duchess of Sussex," My roommate watched the entire royal wedding on Saturday, I left because I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes.
She's like a real life Disney Character .
Great dress though , and that massive Aquamarine ring she has on her finger ain't too shabby either.

Has there been a NON-middling (or less) person who married into royalty, other than Grace Kelly?

Yeah--followed closely by retailers. Seems anything and everything she "touches" turns to retail-gold!
As for watching the wedding--it could have taken place in my own backyard and I wouldn't have bothered with it. On some level I understand the hype--interest; but, truth is, I had more interest in our fictional pair getting married.

Until the possible divorce that is. She divorced her last hubby after only a couple years. Now if she married Ed Sheeran, the other famous Brit ginger, that might be even more magical.

Well, I never heard of her before the marriage stuff, and I suspect many/most Brits hadn't either.

Nothing to do with the wedding but ...
King Ralph
A 1991 movie where the entire royal family is killed in a freak accident and John Goodman becomes King

I don't think she's getting divorced and giving up a chance to eventually be Queen of the United Kingdom.

I thought she was officially a princess but I guess Duchess is close enough. Anyway, some people hit the lottery in life and she definitely won big.
I only wonder if her costars support her or if they're mad she left since she was staple character on that show.

Damn Skippy!
"Name-Dropping & Who-You-Know" is a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry large part of the show-biz world. They all probably fell on their knees to thank their lucky stars (ha-ha). Not only that, think of the brand-recognition for the show--every news media on the planet talking about your show--
can't buy that kind of publicity.
Also...
Who doesn’t support true love? Surely no sane person would harbor any ill will.

She can never be the Queen, she can only be the consort (just like the Queens husband is just Pince Phillip and not King Phillip)

Well they did attend the wedding so, probably.

Could be more of a "We wanna go party at a Royal Wedding" situation and not a ", We're here because we support your decision" situation.
Not saying it's black and white but if my costar left my successful show I'd be pretty upset.
