Discuss The Big Bang Theory

Enjoyed the episode quite a bit. While I love it when the entire gang is together, sans kids, my favorites scenes are the ones when it’s just the four guys. When Raj mentioned it while they were driving to Dr. Wolcott's, I couldn’t help but thumbsup_tone1 . That part really did feel like a back-in-the-day episode.

Anyway; on to the rest of the story...

-1. Whatever gave Penny and Bernie the idea that “New” Amy would want a “LHOTP” Bachelorette party? Yes, they know she isn’t some wild and crazy girl; but, they have seen her “let her hair down” on more than one occasion when they’ve gone out or away. Really thought they were pranking her; and were going to drag her off to a real, planned champagne dancer_tone2 champagne_glass fete elsewhere.

-2. Happy to see Peter MacNicol. Enjoyed his Dr. Wolcott character--sad, pathetic, entertaining, and funny. The first show I saw him in was “The Powers That Be”--became an instant fan. (Also got my first glimpse of another co-star in the show, David Hyde Pierce…became an instant fan as well). The show only lasted one season; but, I thought it was very funny. Looking back—I’m thinking—ahead of its time.

-3. Amy asked Penny and Bernie if they took pictures of her “madcap/rowdy” actions from the night before. They did—but said they didn’t. Was anyone reminded of Sheldon asking Leonard and Penny about his pants the morning after he had showed attendees at his award ceremony “Uranus” the night before?

-4. What IS this thing with women and Firemen interrobang

-5. Amy's "Riverdance"--I know the actress is a dancer from way back; but all I could think of while watching was "Clydesdale"--had to smile .

After their Vegas weekend ("The Focus Attenuation") they should've definitely known what Amy really likes.

A party at the Fire Department with the men stripping would be at the top of Amy's (and the other girls') wish list.

Peter MacNicol was a regular cast member of "Chicago Hope," which started on CBS at the same time the now-famous ER started on NBC. Chicago Hope was a better show, at first.

I thought it would have been a better episode - and actually credible - if Penny and Bernadette had started out with the retro stuff and then did "Surprise!" and had a fireman stripper come out of another room or something. As it was.... meh.

1)Even their attempt to fix her bachelorette party was horrible, Penny and Amy show should have known better as her best friends. Even if Amy isn't into wild parties or strippers they least they could have done is take her some place nice they can dance, or to some resort.

2) Never heard of him but his character is funny.

3) Yup.

4) Firefighters and Cops are considered very masculine professions with stereotypically hot guys doing the job. So they've become the defacto persona adopted by male strippers.

5) Need a riverdance expert to comment before my judgement.

Looks as if they spend more time at the gym than the firehouse.

Also, what's with the ringer--"John Cena"?

Yes. Considering their past jaunts together both should know that Amy isn't above letting loose (a little) and having a good time. Also; it was funny that Amy, upon hearing Bernie and Penny’s description of her wild night, is so accepting of the notion (proud even) that deep within her there is a “party animal” just waiting to be unleashed.

As for Amy being all eyes when it comes to Fire Department men stripping--Every since she had her “hoo” moment upon meeting Zack, we all known that the potential is there.

The wrestler? I didn't look at the whole page/pages, I figured that you would get the idea?

Well considering all the equipment they have to lug around, they probably spend more time than most in the gym.

By & large as a profession firefighters have an abundance of good looking people.

I know MacNicol has been around a while, and has done a lot of good work; but I don't do medical procedural shows, so I never saw him in "Chicago Hope" - "ER".

As for Penny and Bernie surprising Amy after all—that’s the way I thought the episode was going to play out. That The Party as planned turned out to be Penny and Bernie's real effort really did stretch the "voluntary suspension of disbelief" to its limit.

First, I'm going to relaxed because I'm shallow like that; but, then seriously say I never thought about it. Easy to see that they also have life-or-death reasons to stay in shape.

4) Firefighters and Cops for Bachelorette parties.

Pole dancers and strippers for Bachelor parties.

Kind of make you thinking what that says about us.

NOW I HAVE TO ASK:

Here in the US, a Bachelor/Bachelorette party is (generally) a given. Is this true in other countries? If not, what is done instead?

When I do my food shopping the local fire house guys are usually in there shopping , I guess they have to restock a lot since they live in the fire house. They're all hotties 😊 and I don't oogle.... much.

5) Here is a snippet. It won't make anyone an expert--but, it will do for comparison.

I see them in the market from time to time; and the only thing I can think about is that they are spending my tax dollars.

And I've been thinking "Clydesdale" since she first appeared on the show. Although it's gotten more pronounced over time.

To me she was leaning toward willowy when she first showed up. And, throughout the series--even with the layering--she has been OK size-wise. But this last season either the layers have gotten thicker or she has.

The first time, it was really noticeable to me is the S11E10--when Shamy decides to go to the JOTP and get married without all the hoopla.

When she turns away from that counter and heads toward the waiting area; couldn't help but think: that don't move like no padding!
