Discuss The Big Bang Theory

Interesting designation--S10E1? Don't know what I expected it to be; but that surprised me.

Anyway…

Stopped watching about 2/3 through E1--but, went back a few days later (wanted to be fair) and finished E1; then watched E2 (didn't know the premiere was a double ).

Has kind of a "Modern Family" texture to it . That is, a large, diverse brood--with a "something for everyone" motif (except that Modern Family's feels more organic). I don't want to use the word "pandering"; but, if there had been a handicapped cast member, it would have been a clean-sweep.

A couple of good laughs—everything but the kitchen sink when it comes to storylines--but, nothing about it made me want to add it to my regular lineup. My ONLY interest now is catching Galecki’s episode.

Read that it did really well in the rating—congrats to Roseanne fans!

I never liked that show or understood it's popularity. Hollywood has realized rather than create new content they can just resurrect old shows and capitalize on nostalgia.

Yeah. It was bad enough when every third new show reminded you of one that had gone before—NOW every third new show IS one that has gone before.

Gue$$ they can’t resist such a potential twofer. No doubt they are banking on a built in, nostalgic, fanbase…as well as newbies coming aboard to see what the build-up is all about—then staying.

If the premiere ratings for Roseanne is any indication of what’s to be had—then I can see a loooooooooooooooooooooong line of others queuing-up.
